Sadly no can do… Μαμα is visiting…
I have done a really simple route before, around here.
Head down the A24 then turn off to A272 all the way over to Loomies. Food, fuel, empty bladders, then up A32 then A31 through Guildford and prob stop again at Newlands corner. Then you can piss of from whence you came.
Its about 100miles so a bit more than a bfast run
is that a 1000cc route, or a Supermoto twisty one?
What’s a 1000cc route ??
Have a look at it on google maps, from what I remember it has a nice few curves.
Also don’t want to be the buzz kill here, but we also have to think about if this will break the lovely Rule of 6.
I’d be up for this! Hopefully there’s space for a noob!
Definitely, just figuring out last minute route.

You ok to get to box hill for 9am departure?
9am is all good with me!
My bike is still stuck at FWR who are waiting for a gasket to come in so they can finish the service .
They said their supplier has been having problems getting hold of parts. My part has been dispatched today and will either arrive tomorrow or Monday. FWR promised that if it arrives tomorrow they’ll make sure I get my bike back tomorrow.
Hopefully it arrives in time!
damn! fingers x-ed dude!
Howya. Have slightly lost the thread of this. Are we saying tomorrow Sunday 20th September at 0830 at Box Hill carpark?
Meet at rykas cafe! Not 100% sure of the route, but will end up at Loomis cafe.
You have only yourselves to blame. What is needed is to have one thread for one ride like we used to have, then after an exchange of post ride pleasantries move on. No harm in kicking things off with a “anyone fancy a ride” post but once date and time has been agreed someone should take ownership and post the details in the first post of a new thread.
I know… My fault for sure. This will the the worst organised ride ever!
Weather looks good. I will aim to be there before 0830.
You’re organising a Rideout… That’s more than enough
I was going to put an @Panagiotis in that post but thought I’d be kind. The thing to remember is you can over organise. When I organised and led rides I tried to please all the people all the time with the likes of fuel stops, refreshment stops, comfort breaks as well as challenging roads and good tarmac. I soon realised that can’t be done, then someone threw their toys out the pram after deciding on an off road detour instead of following the rest of the group through a puddle. I gave up soon after that. Now I ride for me and riders I know and trust to be safe around, groups are getting smaller but that’s not such a bad thing. The beginning of the end of an era
00:23 @Slan plays motorcycle dominoes, no bikes or Slan were damaged.
02:26 The puddle, who in their right mind would go over the bridge to the right?

Happy days and fond memories.
Oh. I was expecting puddle to be a sarcastic comment for some raging river, but I have literally been through puddles that deep. One time there was a man in a white van coming the other way, who nicely stopped and waited. He was probably stripped of his white van licence for that.
OMG the memories
I miss these rides and you lot!
Also, that wasn’t a puddle, by the time we got there, it was a raging rapid that could have carried away all the sports bikes
Yes Michael, this puddle was just that a puddle and nothing more and 27 of the 28 riders in the group saw it as that but as they say ‘there’s always one’.
We did do raging rivers on an Essex (TOWiE) Wet Roads Special, I think we covered about 24 fords ranging from completely dry to proper five star river crossings. Fair warning was given in the ride description as it was in all my rides but you needed to pay attention to the detail - no Fords refers to the motor car, no fords refers to wet roads
