Ride back was a pita (and I don’t mean the bread).

The morning after - still buzzing. We’ve not had an LB rideout for a while like this and it was perfect. As @kcoops said, we need to get more of these in before the end of the summer.
It was really good to see a number of newbies on the ride as well. Hopefully I’ve not missed anyone off - @kcoops, @kylejs, @AMacEireann and the duo of @HBG. Welcome all!
Next time I might even remember to put the bike into sport mode - looked down two thirds of the way in to see the bike in road mode, wondered why it was a bit reluctant to be used with gusto 
Got to thank @Panagiotis who escorted me home after my bout of heat stroke. We got hit by the M23 closure and got rerouted what felt like bloody miles, but when we popped back onto the M25 it was only one short junction before the M23 exit anyhow.
Also, WOW, first time I’ve ridden the 690 in the dark. The optional extra LED headlights are CRAZY powerful! Completely lit up the dark roads. Thankfully nobody flashed me in anger.

I followed them, went through Crawley, and it then sends you back out to the M23 where you have a nice little end of diversion sign, short stretch of road back up to the M23 where it was CLOSED!!!
Back into Crawley picked up the A23 and then the A217 and through Reigate to M25.
Want a ball ache, and badly planned diversion.

Lol I missed that, I was wondering if any of them would be brave enough to moan with so many bikes there.

We got confused, checked the map, said we’d go the other way but had to go forwards to u-turn and then a few meters ahead was the M25 diversion sign so we carried on
So close to the B2116 and yet so far…
P.S. found a nice little detour for the balcombe road closure for next time you’re down this way
