Considering the alternatives I think you came off ok, still looks sore though.

The main thing is the bike starts and runs fine. The engine doesn’t leak, all the electrics work and it rolls fine so I can see another rebuild on it’s way as the whole right side of the bike is fine.
Turns on the car side swiped me twice. Once halfway down the car he went right then went back into me which made the front dig in and flipped me. The bike went end over end 2-3 times then caught me up and pushed me the rest of the way.
The driver when stopped questioned what was wrong why had he been stopped!!! I can’t believe what I was being told.
Blimey that could have been a very serious accident for injuries and you got lucky which what we all need out there.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Shocking accident, especially if you were knocked out. Glad it wasn’t worse for you. My thoughts are lay off the bike as winter is coming anyway but don’t give it up…it happened and in the back of every biker’s mind it’s gonna happen one day.

Hope you got checked out by a doc, (it still wouldn’t be too late) even if it is to ensure that you injuries are correctly documented for any insurance claim.

hey shiver, jeez mate sounds mad, as u know i had a pretty lucky escape myself only 6 weeks ago, it def does make you think, I spent a long time thinking i was gunna give the road up but i love it so much.
There is not alot you can do in accidents like that, your essentially helpless and so im glad your still here and walking and talking.
I suggest you get a specialist solicitor as i did when the lorry turned right into me, they are excellent and really move stuff forward far quicker than your insurnace company will. If you want there detials then let me know.

Having been there myself a few times I feel for you. Bloody lucky to have got off as lightly as you do, testament to good kit. Keep smiling and lets hope the prat who hit you gets his just deserts.
