ExactlyI too live opposite a pub and have done for 11 years, its kinda what you expect on a summers sunday.Kinda reminds me of all those people that live near a race circuit and an airport that complain about the noise… it was there before you moved in what was you expecting!!!As pointed out earlier and echoed many more times, take it up with the pub if you feel you have to, otherwise…
Firstly should be discussing residents private complaints on a public forum? You are quoting evidence, but unless you substantiate said evidence it is useless, and yet you are using it to beat both LB and the pub. And before you go a head and make life difficult for the anyone please make sure you have solid information.
I also find it difficult to believe that someone heard the band from over a mile away through all the trees and vegetation in the local area.
This is an issue that should have been investigated in a proper professional manner, and then discussed in public once a conclusion had been reached.
You have now made that far harder to be fair and balanced, but from judging by your words, actions and attitude I doubt that could have been achieved in the first place.
11.45pm isnt exactly late - I’ve been in spain for 2 weeks with people shouting and flying about on motorbikes 24 hours a day, your quite lucky really!
what a load of old twoddle, ive just waisted 10 mins of my life reading this,
what ever complaints were made, who cares? sounds like you all had a good time (i coudnt make it) and you raised money for a good charity …so well done you lot.:P:D:)
i wonder if next time the air ambulance has too fly over to help someone if the neighbours will complain about the down draft and noise ! maybe brian can keep us informed.
+1 steve…why does one person want to try and ruin a good well organised event that no doubt was advertised locally ages ago, these people brianM and his merry men seem to get off on pi$$ing people off, try comming to toddy we got 8 pubs n clubs within a mile of my house and it dont bother me, OH and the fuggin church bells fire up at stupid o’clock in morning perhaps I should tell the vicar…Oi Vicar NO !!! :)get a grip !! happy now
There is a similar element of “dont move near a race circuit if you dont want to put up with the noise”. Then, as a result of local campaigns, race circuits have strict rules on noise enforced. For example engines cant be started between certain hours and cant be louder than a particular level. So I do understand the issues.
But in the end, adding to this thread is doing exactly what Brian M is asking you to do. You are playing into his hands.
Most councils have noise abatement officers on call. If there was a problem on the Sunday and locals complained then the council should have sent out an officer and got the pub to turn it down. No point in complaining after the event. Didn’t go myself but sounds like a great day. I suppose if it was near where I live and on a Sunday and too loud then I might complain and expect it to be turned down. If no-one did complain on the day and the pub had an ents licence then what’s the problem?
Brian M it seems is hellbent on making a fuss about anything to do with LB and its members, i mean only last week we had him giving us his “expert” opinions on bike racing, and he managed to upset a couple of members with his downright rude comments. Then i was told by him that i am always making a fuss over my sexuality and that im basically causing a problem for no apparent reason, and now this…Oh dear Brian, why dont you go and wind your neck in a get a life. Oh and maybe you might actually make some mates if you can actually bother being nice.
As a newbie to this forum, but an old hand on others, this just reeks of a troll/attention whore.Sounds like you lot had a great time and lots of money raised for a great cause, don’t let that fact be hidden by this nonsense.
