Oh dear!! I wasn’t there so can’t comment too much but it was for a good cause and I am assuming that the locals had the chance to attend so what’s the problem if the band finished at 10:30??
I also would agree that Brian discussing complaints of local residents on LB is very unprofessional!!
I have just returned from a meeting with Chris the Landlord of The Coach and Horses.
It’s interesting to get the full story of the history of his disputes with “a small number” of locals who are incidentally banned from the pub;)
This afternoon one very close neighbour to the pub (across the road) asked me what time the band finished as he didn’t hear it.:D:D:D:D
In fact the Millbrook Golf Club, which is 100 yards away, held a South African night on Saturday night and in his opinion made considerably more noise than our event and it went on much later.
The fact of the matter is Hatfield Council saw fit to grant us a licence for an OUTDOOR BAND until MIDNIGHT.
The band did finish around 10.30 pm and we have evidence and many loacals to support that fact.
We have followed the letter of the licence, so where is your beef Mr Brian?
Next time we host an event like this irrespective of your postion on the Council, I hope you have the brass balls to attend our event to witness it for yourself instead of listening to tittle tattle from mr Angry and Co.
The event was covered by a Temporary licence. This has naff all to do with noise. It licenses entertainment.Complaints are dealt with by Environmental Health and they can prohibit an event for noise. There is no licensing issue related here its noise issue which has naff all to do with the licence actually. Seperate legislation entirely.A venue can be licensed for whatever it wants but if it causes noise issues the police and Council EH Officers will deal with it.How come well in excess of 10 complaints have been official recieved then?
Oh by the way just for info…Just because you have a licence doesnt mean you can use the licensable activities to a level as loud as you want.Licence lets you have it but doesnt allow you to upset residents.
BLAH BLAH BLAH …brian stop moaning and deal with your customers complaints , but of course by posting hwere you can now tell all those who have complained that you have had words with the nasty horrible bikers and tick a box on a form to keep your bosses happy.
Actually, look back at the orginal BBQ post. I stated that the neighbours moan as first point of contact on the phone I deal with all complaints in major call centre.
I said that be careful as neighbours will complain so just be mindful. Have a look at the post and see.
I was very polite actually and I also PM’d Chuncky nicely and he said they are all licenced and I meantioned about the noise.
So I did my nice bit. This post was to say well done for ignoring the advice actually which is what happened and the people to suffer will be the organisers and the venue owners.
Simple as.
I am getting funny cause I gave advice, it was ignored and problems have occured and the majority of you couldnt care less.
I was actually trying to help with the advice last week to HELP YOU but it was ignored. Now there are issues.Non of you can see that. Your attitudes to which you have towards this just explains why there were complaints in the first place.
