Just the rear? You’re going to run mis-matched tyres?

hahaha!

Wow that feels low. I can’t remember what mine where on my bike but can never remember having less than 30!

Is it the standard spec from KTM or the tyre one?

Tyre prob says 36/42 but manual says 29/29

What did the video say?

Experiment, have fun with it… Hell, make it a day out

Need a smaller foot pump!

Recommended pressures from tyre manufacturers and bike manufacturers are always way too high and quite often don’t vary their advice for the conditions, i.e. are you carrying a passenger and need more pressure to retain the same level of tyre deformity or are you solo, etc.

I find the recommended pressures are always too high, they rob you of feel. There’s a fine line between it being just right where you can feel the tyre gripping and it being too low and it not wanting to turn into corners easily (once warm).

On a day like today you could probably pump it up with your breath

My bike has been of the road for 5yrs so I should check the tyre age.

I’ve always run my SM tyres at 23/24psi cold and back in the day we always used sticky tyres for 400cc sports bikes. SM’s have no weight or top speed. My favorite ROAD tyre of the day was Bridgestone BT90(?), brilliant tyre set it dry. Obsolete now I’m sure.

In near zero temps 17/19psi. The tyre deforming warms the tyres quickly and keeps the temp up.

Wow, that’s track temperatures  I’m running 32-34 psi atm. Might try a bit lower, though cold tyre turn-in feel will be awful I’m sure!

the new rear has definitely helped! and still on 29/29.
