If you have made the trip, where did you visit?
If you haven’t and could, where would LIKE to visit?

I’ve been to NYC in 2000, and had a GREAT time. It was a real eye-opener and I’d like to go back. Looking up at the WTC from the door at the bottom was simply breath-taking. I am humbled that I got to experience that before the world changed. You really, really couldn’t be prepared for that sight if you’ve never looked up at a sky-scraper.
I know that Foxy has been to Miami a number of times and is desperate to get back to see old friends and the sun. I’d also like to go and ride Laguna. I’ve now clocked it in Tourist Trophy and want to do it for real!
Will be going for the first time hopefully this year…
parents have property in Florida, so seems daft not to use there facilities
, they love America & go twice a year visiting different locations, the endless photos they return with look amazing …
I went to Las Vagas, hubs was workin there, San Diego and Yuma…had to do the wifey bit and visit… wot a bummer !! ha ha ![]()

Always had a great time in the US…
Been to the deep south Alabama as my brother lives there. Not my idea of the best places to visit out of the whole country but it was an eye opener at least lol. Too cut off for my liking. Flew into Birmingham AL then a three hour drive to where he lives. It’s a typical wooden American house surrounded by fields, gorgeous, but not close enough for my shopping trips ![]()
I should be going to NY for my friends Hen weekend, if not I’ll just have to make hubby take me there. ![]()
So none of you have ever been to Rockies?
No, but the Rockies is one place I would love to go
Boston, miami, Key west and New york… All at the cost of the tax payer!!! (Royal Navy)
I was lucky enough to go up to the viewing gallery of the World Trade Centre before 9/11. What an amazing view. I still have a photo I took looking straight down the side of the building. (viewing gallery windows came out slightly so you could look straight down) ![]()

Been twice - first time was to visit a friend in DC over Thanksgiving weekend (but most of that trip is lost in a haze of tequila shots
) followed by New York. Second time was early 2005 to Dallas, and San Antonio. The fiesta in SA was fantastic but I found Dallas quite strange and couldn’t click with the place. Seemed to be a lot of crazies roaming the streets! Did manage to go sky diving just outside Fort Worth though…what a view ![]()
Next on the list is Vegas but wouldn’t mind doing some boarding in the Rockies.
Been to Denver a few times, mostly business but have done a bit of skiing & snowmobiling out there as well.
Also been to San Francisco a couple of times & down the Calfornian coast a bit.
Worked in Fort Lauderdale for a short while & have been back to Florida for a holiday as well, not awfully keen on Florida though, pretty crap place for riding a bike unless you’re right up north & I just really dislike amusement parks. Nice beaches though & if anyone wonders where on earth they get the audience for the Jerry Springer show then I recommend you visit Lake Wales, just don’t go after 9 PM because it’s closed…
NY/Boston area is on my list of must see places, as was New Orleans, but guess that’ll have to wait a while. Also fancy taking a few weeks to meander aimlessly around the back roads of the old south to see the real America & meet folks, as in my experience the average American is one of the friendliest & welcoming people on the planet.
I was in Orlando in feb 1999, for a golf holiday, had a great time as Daytona bike week was on while we where there, great trip there for a day.
Never saw any of the parks as we where playing golf most days, did a day to st petes to meet a friend there, what a great beach they have miles of soft white sand,
Would love to go back there and do route 66, and highway 1

I went about 2 years ago, started in Boston Massatutuesuetueueuoijnwel;rfjk, i cant even say the word, let alone spell it.
then drove down to NYC, then to Atlanta City, then to Phili, then drove down to Miami Florida, stayed there for a week, i loved it, jumped into the sea, to find out im surrounded by jelly fish, had an ellergic reaction to them, started getting bubbles on my skin for a few hours. got the best tan ive ever had in my life, and saw the most beautiful latin girls.
If i could chose where to go next it would either be LA, or Vegas Nevada, enter myself in the WSOP, that would be the dream…
Drove through the rockies on the canadian side, would love to go back on a sports bike - the roads are amazing ![]()
