Remember it well
lol remember them not thinking mobile phones would catch on lol
Remember them new-fangled CD’s?
They spread strawberry jam on it and it still played:w00t:
I thought I’d try it and my Amstrad CD player never worked again…lol:D
I used to love that programme.
About 20 years ago i was working on a project in the isle of man with a couple of young marine biologists
farming seaweed for mass consumption in the uk , we really believed it was the next big thing and had a feature on TW…anyone remember kelp krunchies ? sold at holland and barrett etc
My seaweed recipes were also featured on the food programme on radio 4 .
A few years after he had left TW, I produced a couple of programmes with Ray Baxter as the presenter. What a pro - he could memorise and mentally edit a script in a matter of minutes. Great fun to be around and a lovely man, too.
Also …
I only met Woolard once - and I wasn’t impressed.
Christ chunks, you’re older than you look, I remember that very episode…
Bloody waste of jam if you ask me but that’s typical of the bl00dy BBC
Yeah I remember that, they failed to point out that they spread it on the top of the CD - and the actal music is read from the bottom of the CD…
I used to like that programme when I was a kid - I remember my parents buying a copy of the Radio Times especially to get the glasses for the 3D episode !!!
Judith Hann!!! There was something kind of sexy about her.
I did, loved that program as a kid, but it did lose it’s way towards the end.
I was always fancied Maggie Philbin more (even if she had married Keith Chegwin)
