The food part of this seems to be the hardest for me, thier’s a lot of temptation in my house and snacking on crap is too easy…so that is still a ongoing battle at the mo;)P.S. I’ve had nightmares, something to do with flying jaffa cakes:D
just caught up with this thread and yes is an issue to me now.
got told i have type 2 diabetes on friday, was having tests due to me high blood pressure, around 150/105 cos was spose to have an op but blood pressure is too high.
am at 16st now and yes got to get orf me ar5e, i was not surprised when doc told me so if a good kick up the ar5e for me.
thing is aint got a clue where to start, i am gonna cycle to work which i was sort of doing b4 we had the crap weather but food and other excercise, not a clue, chips was my main source of diet with anything else from icelands that1 can chuck in the oven with the chips.
so i am hoping i can get sorted and get rid of this type 2 lark.

Good luck Rioting Rob, how come you all missed out sex? Plenty of it Rob, much better than the gym, and cycling. More fun too! I am 52 this year 5’ 8" 11 stone 3. I still behave like I did in my 20’s, stop worrying and cut out the booze if you like a drink, and smoking? I normally cycle about six miles along the sea wall where I live, three to four times a week in the summer, I don’t watch what I eat. You too could have a body like mine if your not careful?
well done for sticking to it rob if you have a day where you eat some thing you shouldnt you should punish your self with a whole day of only drinking water
I’m a fairly hefty at just under 15 stone and 5’ 6" though some of that weight is boobs because I’m a girl… my other half would kill me if I lost them lol. I’ve always been quite stocky and podgy but last year I ballooned up to probably about 15 1/2 stone as I’d stopped dancing salsa which I used to do regularly.
I got Wii Fit for christmas and it’s absolutely Brilliant. I’ve been regularly doing it and it’s actually working. I do a difficult exercise and streetdance class once a week and have been doing it for over a year, it’s a great workout but it wasn’t enough for me just once a week, but combined with regular hour sessions in between on Wii fit I’ve noticed a HUGE difference in my body tone. :w00t:
I now have muscles where I used to just have flab, my tummy, though still fairly podgy is noticibly more toned, I’ve lost some “size” if not really that much weight and feel much better about my fitness level. I’m able to keep up in the dance class with the difficult muscle workouts so much better than I used to. I’m definitely going to keep it up. I’m hoping that some more weightloss will occur once the muscle tone has improved sufficiently.
It may sound silly but Wii fit really is working for me, just to tip me over the edge to improving my fitness in conjunction with my dance class. Well worth it IMO!
