I am sorry has there been some news released that verifies that he had a gun at all?
Or do we just take the police word for it before the IPCC (joke that they are) even get a chance to investigate?
Cause I seem to remember that after Jean Charles was shot we were told he was wearing a puffa jacket…no he wasn’t…he jumped over the barriers and ran…no he didn’t.
I seem to remember that the police are quick to release information that days later turns out to be not so true.
So perhaps we should wait for some independent laugh facts from the IPCC, or more likely the media since our police service and the IPCC are rather sh*te before we leap the conclusion that the person deserved what they got?
Unless you all know something I don’t know? You were all on the scene and can verify what happened?
You probably know that people don’t like the police much and for a witness to say that they tried to stop him without using force is quite a big thing. Witnesses don’t usually come forward in this area.
These would be the same witnesses that said Jean Charles leapt the barrier and tried to jump on a train?
I am not saying they are wrong, but for people to be spouting that the guy got what he deserves at a stage when no-one really knows what actually happened, just seems a bit rich.
We have a police force that isn’t exactly known for being open and honest when it makes mistakes and a media that is in the middle of a scandal about hacking the phones of dead children.
Yet everyone is quite happy to just swallow up and make judgemental comments about something despite those being the two sources available to us.
I just wonder why no-one seems to learn anything or move forward. We complain about our press for a couple of weeks then go straight back to buying everything they are selling hook, line and sinker.
At least wait a day or so and let the facts dribble out, he might be a scrote who got what he deserves, but frankly who knows at this stage? That is all I am saying.
he was a known criminal, his cousin was stabbed and died in march…you think thats bullshit too? peple dont get stabbed for no reason- well a few do but i garuntee his cousin was no angel…
how many times have ARV teams opened fire on a suspect? not many…so in my eyes there must have been good reason to do so, also dont forget he opend fire on a copper, witness’s have said that there was 3 gunshots.
1 from the suspect and 2 from the police.
persoanlly i think the dude that got shot was a wrong’un.
if they release CCTV of it we will know the truth wont we…
It’s things like this where I wonder (well, I generally wonder about this topic), why coppers aren’t armed all the time. 6 years here and still can’t get it into me head
Tests allegedly reveal officer in Mark Duggan shooting was struck by police bullet #Enfield#Tottenham

The Guardian says that initial tests on the bullet that struck a police officer during the fatal encounter with Mark Duggan show that allegedly it was, in fact, a police bullet. Although that news doesn’t entirely explain what happened, it will add to the fury that has already erupted onto the streets of Tottenham and Wood Green, and that is tonight leading to tension in Brixton and Enfield.
The police claim that they came under fire from Duggan and that the man died after officers shot back. It was claimed that a police officer was hit in the chest by Duggan’s shots, but that the officer’s radio stopped the bullet. The revelation that the bullet that struck the officer was apparently a police issue bullet means that the story now has to be reconsidered.
Given the tensions across London tonight, this is the last piece of news that the police need. Even if there’s a totally logical explanation that entirely exonerates the police, the news is likely to inflame sentiment among demonstrators who are already close to boiling point.
So why is this probably untrue an what covert reason would the guardian have for making it up apart from the obvious of inciting more riots so the powers that be can rail road some more laws to stamp on the generation that they themselfs created kick the most timid of dogs long enough an it will bite you . An as for his lifestyle is this a fact he was a gangster?
Cheers guys, it turned out to be a pretty uneventful night for me, which was pretty good! I managed to avoid Enfield and Shepherds Bush where it was kicking off. From listening to what was being said on the radio, it sounded like it wasn’t a patch on Saturday nights trouble thankfully.
The most problematic thing last night was that someone appears to have swapped my stab vest for a smaller tighter one, either that or it’s shrunk because last time I wore it I’m sure it fit me properly The same thing seems to happen to my leathers every summer when they come back out of hibernation!
