Where you dropped on your head at birth?

I mean its bad enough you stick all that **** all over your bike and imitate a member of society that dedicates there life to doing good and trying to help others.

But i know, you only do it so other drivers are more likely to see you. OK so explain why i keep seeing you sitting in the middle lane of the M1 doing 70 MPH with traffic built up behind you, is that because you a Fuing TT.

Seriously what the hell is wrong with you, every morning you cause a mini traffic jam, you are single handedly the most annoying C**t on the road. If you want to be noticed dress as farther christmas or superman and don’t sit at exactly the speed limit.

Do you feel powerful is that it? Do you also get beat by your wife? I expect so. Also take in mind some people get stuck behind you every day and then they realise its you the guy who dresses like a police officer. I truely hope it annoy’s the real police as much as it annoys everyone else.

Kind regards - the guy who rides past you every day and gives you the international sign for put your seat belt on.

Been a while since I did the M3 regularly, but if he’s still out there he gets my vote. Not just for the sad plod wannabe kit, but also for being the slowest filterer in the history of motorcycling & being too much of a self-obsessed ****** to let other riders through.

No - this guy wasn’t that extreme - but still looked exactly like a Police bike right up until you got within twenty feet of him - de-stickered ex-Police beemer - but with the chevrons still painted on the back of the panniers.

I sat behind this t0sser at a steady 70 for twenty minutes until I realised he wasn’t old bill . . . :crazy:

Otherwise I agree with the general sentiment. They need to have a word with themselves and stop being bell ends.

All their bikes doubtless have headlights and taillights on which generally I reckon to be more visible than a dayglo bib and a white helmet.

Well, when you in the queuing traffic and you look in the mirror, there is no distinctive difference between lights of the car and bike. Drivers are not obligated to look in the mirror all the time as they traveling forward. If hi-viz clothing would be such a waste of time, no one would wear it and none would produce it.
I would like to bring to your attention Hurt Report. I know it is not fashionable and trendy, but sometimes you have to ask yourself is it more important to look right or to not being injured?
For all riders/drivers who slowed down when they see that sort of clothing, maybe it saved your life as you were zooming thru traffic, this 10 sec you slowed down could be crucial.

ps. If someone annoys you with his bike, clothes, helmet being similar like police, fire department, immigration officer, prist, ambulance. Just have a word with him, tell him how you feel, or at least give him envelope with letter and link to that thread if you don’t want confrontation.

Just out of curiosity I sourced this - Impersonating a Police OfficerSection 90 Police Act 1996 creates several offences relating to the impersonation of police officers or the possession of articles of police uniform, namely:impersonating a police officer (including a special constable);making a statement or doing any act calculated falsely to suggest membership of a police force;wearing a police uniform calculated to deceive;possessing an article of police uniform.The circumstances of the case may disclose more than one of these offences. It will seldom be necessary to charge more than one offence. You should select the most appropriate.

You should consider the motive of the defendant. Where the impersonation involves a threat to the safety of any person, or to property, or is done with a view to financial gain, then a prosecution should follow.

This could be printed onto a small business card and left somewhere on their bike. Just a thought :Whistling:

Have to admit, after being taken out on the A13 the other week, I’ve been seriously considering donning some hi-vis and particularly one of these Polite jackets. Who knows if it would have saved me on my recent off, the chap quite patently didn’t look in mirror/over shoulder, can’t even be sure he had his eyes open. However, if it gets you noticed a few seconds earlier on a few occasions, I’d say it’s done its job.

I was also wondering if a bike with ABS would have saved me too, so on a quick ebay search for a cheap bike with ABS, and up popped a few well maintained and smart looking white BMW K1200RS’s…
