Hey guys and girls the Southend shakedown was Awesome! thanks to all the guys which organised it grate job. I was on the white yzf r125 with the matt black helmet if you remember you were overtaking me most of the time on the straight however i was keeping up but knowing my limits. I am definitely up for the 26th and the route looks sweet.
cya on the 26th !!!

Welcome along to the nut house

Im thinking, as we done Finchingfield this week shall we add Burnham on crouch ice cream parlour to this ride?

Set off early 08:30 meet with 0900 departure, get to Finchingfield for 11, have a half hour break then hit the burnam Bends and lunch at burnham rather than Finchingfield???

Sounds good to me I can do the lazy bit and meet you lot at flinchingfeild I’ll take Tiptree Colchester route from mine

But cream tea :crying: can we have a slightly longer break for cream tea??

I’m out so chances are that you can have cream tea as you won’t have to be waiting around for me to get me breakfast and coffee… Just don’t whip the CLOTTED cream!

Spoken to Sam, this ride is definitely happening 26th, is everyone still in?

I’ve been entrusted with the responsibility of making sure Sam has mates to ride with on the day

lol.

I’m passing it on to Ruth to organise as i may be a bit scarce over the next few days/week as i am moving offices and starting a new role very soon and i’m going to be really tied up getting my old role all ready for the new person to take over smoothly so i will likely miss a lot of Posts.

I still want to start this an hour earlier than usual and just have a quick Toilet stop over at Finchingfield then hit the Burnham Bends with Lunch Break being at the Ice Cream parlour in Burnham rather than the usual stop off at Bosworths in Finchingfield

Ruth…

Please do not mess it up or get anyone Lost!!!

Out- sorry

Sam you have so little faith in me.

So here’s my plan, from High Beech Tea hut we head north on the M1 so I can get some northern fish and chips…

Is that a typo or just to fox the animal rights activists?

The clue is in the name A1(M) The Great North Road

Haha :hehe:

I’ve used the M1 on both occassions, more lanes to obey the speed limit in

So are we not taking the back roads? is there a new route to the original ?

Imagine the disappointment when the troops find their fish n chips in Hull have been swapped out for cream teas in the fields

Yes, plenty of Back Roads and country lanes will be involved. Getting ready for the Awesome Burnham Bends!!

No Main roads involved at all hopefully.

For your info.

I visited friends out near Latchingdon last weekend and saw 3 police cars and two police bikes between North Fambridge and South Woodham Ferrers on Sunday morning. The police have really stepped up their campaign against speeding bikes on the roads to and from Burnham over the last couple of years, so it would be worth while keeping an eye on your speed whilst heading over to that way.

Yes, they were all out the other week when we went to Finchingfield, they are pretty sensible and leave you alone providing you behave through the Towns

I live in Maldon

they have been out for the past two weeks in force

there’s been a lot of complainants for the residents of speeding motorcyclists so the police have to be seen to be addressing the issue

they do it every year as soon as the weather changes

I went out on Saturday to go to Mersea they was everywhere

I went up to Hunstanton last Saturday. Trying mainly to keep to B roads and I spotted a few cars. One followed me for quite a bit. Trying to keep the bike quiet wasn’t fun. So… think it’s time to go into stealth mode for a while. As in put the baffles back in:crying:

Hope to be making the trip on Sunday too.
