Sunday 26th April (Date TBC) Finchingfield Ride Out.

Following on from the Southend Shakedown and the Start of the Nice weather Rideouts i am thinking of a little Bimble to Finchingfield before organising another Full on TOWiE Tour sometime in May/June.

The route will be the Usual route starting off from the Tea Hut at High Beach meeting from 0930 onwards with a departure time of 10am and going on to Bosworths Tea Rooms for a spot of afternoon tea on the Green. should be all done and ready to leave for 1pm so it’s no where near as long as the Southend Shakedown or the TOWiE Tour.

I’m happy to lead the Ride but i like to have a play around in the middle and also enjoy having a stop to mark corners and take a break from riding, so if our Illustrious Leader Art would like to come along and lead the ride i would be most grateful (But no Fords this time!! ) I also need a willing Tail Gunner.

Corneman System & Usual Rules apply:-No NobbersNo Double White Line Overtakers. No Hero’s (accept the GoPro type, providing NO Number Plates are recorded).30 MEANS 30!! Respect the Villages. No Fords (Rivers, not Cortinas)Arrive with an Empty Bladder and Full Tank.Any Ducatis coming must bring a Jerry Can , rest assured we will be stopping for fuel at the Usual spot halfway to Finchingfield. No FordsThis is not a Race, ride your own ride at your own PaceEnjoy yourself Oh yes, and incase i havent mentioned it…No Fords!!!

The roads on this route aren’t as gritty or muddy, neither are they known to be as busy with Cars as the Roads on the Shakedown Rideout but there are Agricultural Vehicles in a couple of parts so please be aware of these as they are usually on the very narrow sections of road and they take up most of the road so please remember to acknowledge the driver and let it be visable to him/her when you are going to pass and i prefer to wait till he/she has given you the nod to overtake, the Farmers don’t take too kindly to dangerous manouvres and try to make it hard for us in the future, but if you do as mentioned they will make it easy for you to pass and will not try and block the path for the rest of the Riders.

Anyone is welcome, Please feel free to invite yourself (and others) This has been a 125 Friendly Ride in the Past so i will keep it as the same but will say it isn’t a complete Noob to riding friendly route, some level of competence is required as the roads to Finchingfield are quite unforgiving in areas, If you attended the shakedown then this will be perfectly fine for you but If this is your first group ride then please make yourself familiar with the Cornerman System (Video at the Bottom of this Page) and listen to any advice offered on the Day.

Although i am Posting this up i am in no way sole owner of the rideout, if anyone wants to chip in with comments then please feel free, i am not easily offended and welcome help from all angles.

Hopefully no ditches for me and if Slan drops her bike she will get left this time :w00t:

I’m in  my sister will prolly join us again too.

Toony if I drop my bike, then you know you’re going down too…one way or another

That took all of an hour before Ruth started the Smutty talk!!

I might be in, depends of weather and working arrangements.

Sam, which route you want to take? And can I play “mark every corner” game ?

R

I’m a team player so if i must!!! :w00t:

I’ve got the Route stored on my Sat Nav for the Whole TOWiE Tour we took last year so i will just do the section from High Beach to Bosworths, I’m not busy for the Next Hour so i’ll try and write it up and post it on the Original Post.

I think I’ll be back from Scotland by that point. So I’m in. But it might be my first day back at work. Pretty sure I’ll be there though as I’ve just been told to take another day of holiday.

Happy to be the tail gunner.

Link to the Google Maps route now added to the Original Post, let me know if it doesn’t work and i will write the actual route up in words

Requested Access.

R

How about now??

It’s alive!

Cool, thanks Sam.

R

Mostly BCR route.

R

Yes thats the one, but coming in to Bosworths from the Bottom rather than the Top like the BCR does. its a lovely route

If you said so

It will be fun for sure.

R

And not as technically challenging as the BCR route in, so its more suited to the sports bikes and newer Riders whereas the BCR route in is better suited to the Loons on the Super Moto’s and Monster KTM’s (& Jarrod lol)
