Say that in theory I was to absently mindedly go into a speed camera zone doing 45 (in a 30 limit) and then manage to slow down to 25 before leaving the white lines, what are the chances of getting a nasty letter in the post ??
theoretically you should be below the limit when you pass the point the camera judges your speed.
That’s happened to er a erm friend of mine with the old style cameras and i (i mean he ) got either no flash or one flash and NO nasty letter in the post.
good luck if lucks needed for this theoretical situation
im waiting after being caught on a sneaky camera van in my car
never had any points in 9 yrs driving, car in front was being a tit slowing down and not knowing where he was going, i went round him, large industrial park road, and by time i saw sneaky van was too late
I think they need to be ‘advertised’ and be seen from at least 200
yards away (?)
I got caught on a mobile camera a few years back and I asked for the picture, because I knew the location well and had slowed down for the fixed camera…
Picture came through the post and it was not taken from where they stated it was (Apparently something to do with the fact they had used the ‘fixed’ cameras location as this had been authorised)
I took a couple of pictures, asked about the discrepancy and they
‘Decided not to proceed any further with this matter’…
Im gona wait and see, hopefully fingers crossed. thing is i knew this road was 30, but in distraction of going past this other driver, didnt realise id crept over the limit. and although i know the limit, it is very deceiving as i dont think there are any speed signs, not really a built up area either
Always cautious when I see cars slowing down for no reason. Happened to me going eastbound on marylebone road, going into the underpass just after the new camera and underpass, usually a nice place to stretch the legs after the congestion, but noticed a taxi was going at 30 mph. Decided it was a bit strange and slowed down and kept behind.
Lo and behold, police bike and speed camera on the other side of the underpass. Taxi got a thumbs up and I didnt get a talking to!
i got flashed in limehouse link, slowing down on teh white lines, side by side with rickys blade, flash flash!! oh ****!!
never heard anything, plenty of times on teh way home from ace i have got impatient and overtook just before cameras, realised the cams there… on teh brakes!
if you get more than halfway you will get flashed, so if you get flashed…pray it has no film!;):w00t:
those limehouse cameras are NOTORIOUS for flashing RIGHT on the limit and never giving out notices. I reckon they must be soooo busy they never have the memory…

unless as bluestar sys its a digi, then your fooked, no chances!
how long before a ne’erdoer comes on posting about always driving under the limit and paying attention. if you don’t then you reap what you sow blah blah blah…
It was at the bottom of Forest Road, towards Ferry Lane.
Fkn stupid this is that I ride this route every day, and stupidly thoeretically overtook a car just before the lines :doze:
Didn’t see if it flashed, too busy watching the speedo
The only way to stop this is by maintaining the correct speeds for the road and due diligence and observation!YEAH RIGHT!!! LMAO:w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:
I only ride a 600, and I struggle to keep the little blighter near the legal zone!:w00t:
Damn, man…if this is what passes for “freedom” over there, I want NONE of it. Can’t leave the “privacy” of your home and not wind up on SOMEONE’s camera or video.
Apparently, Big Brother is alive and well…and living in the UK.
