Been holding off for a while in posting this in the hope i may hear back from them, but i’m giving up holding my breath!
A good few weeks ago I arranged to get my bike tuned - contacted them, heard from a guy called Chris Adams who said he needs a couple weeks notice (fair enough!). So when i was ready, I contacted them and booked it in for 10am one Saturday. I live out Ruislip way, so its not exactly down the road! When i arrived on said date and time, i was greeted by a lovely note saying the guy had gone racing and that the shop would be closed til tuesday! “Nice” i thought!
So when i got home i sent them an email off the back of their confirmation email asking what happened, where were they, yadda yadda yadda, thinking they may get back to me with at least an apology and maybe some sort of offering of a discount for the next booking perhaps!?!
Still not heard from them!!! I guess i’m expecting a bit much by waiting for an apology!?! They must be doing well during these difficult times to pick and chose customers!
…So, can anyone recommend somewhere decent where a nice guy or gal will actually be there when i turn up?? And one that offers a cuppa tea while you wait would be even better!! (tea not essential tho, just a nice to have!)
PDQ have a good rep - and it’s they are very well equipped.
If you need help finding it, give me a shout - it’s about halfway between where I live and where I work
Yeah I’d heard good things about them before booking up, which is why i went with them (think a mate got his bike done from them too, did a great job). Thats also why i left it a while before shaming them in the hope they’d get back to me - more pee’d off at the fact they didn’t bother responding to me than them not being there on the day! Thanks everyone for the recommendations on the others!
I’d call them to say you are dissatisfied and give them a proper chance to sort things. Just in case the email hasnt even been read…not everyone is on the internet on a daily basis not like us LB/FB addicts
FWIW, Chris has sold the business and is moving on to new pastures Somerset way.
Everything has moved and the new owner, Gavin, a personal friend of mine for many years, is swamped under with his existing racing comittments, his existing bike service business, and getting to grips with the new Road and Track business, so may i ask you to bear with it for a while and be a little patient?
It is going to take a little while to get everything up and running, but I’m quite sure it will all work out in the end. I was there today having a little play with the dyno,it’s awesome stuff.
Give them another call. They are away all this coming weekend though with the Derby Pheonix club at Anglesey.

Driving along the M4 one day I get a front puncture near Taplow. RAC arrive and they have a phone around and PDQ say they will repair or replace the tyre (of course they have one in stock they say, very common size which it is) if we get the bike over there.
45 minutes later we turn up at PDQ with the bike on a low loader and one of the chaps comes out and tells us to unload and it will be seen to straight away. Then another chap comes out who I’m told is Larry the boss who tells us it’s illegal to repair front punctures and that he’ll only replace the tyre but he doesn’t have one in stock and it’ll take 3 days to get one, oh and if you want to leave your bike here we’ll charge you storage on it then he walks off.
The RAC recover me to home and the next morning Essential rubber fix the puncture. PDQ are removed from the list of motorcycle repair places the RAC will recommend.
Seem to remember there were complaints on here before about PDQ, worth finding them.
