Random Ride Pics

Nope, stuck ‘em in the washing machine sliders, back protector, armouring n’ everything. My caveat here is that I’d just bought a new set of leathers and it didnt matter if I fubar’d the old ones. They’ve come our of their ordeal looking and smelling fab.

Some weeks ago I posted about the smell of my ancient leather jacket and jeans. I would never have considered using the washing machine.

Got to be worth a go. What do you reckon, 30 degrees, short wash?

I never thought that I’d be discussing laundry cycles on a motorbike forum. I done mine on 30°s with a medium spin speed for about an hour. Then allowed them to dry slowly followed by a leather conditioner. If you’re not fussed about the possibility of ruining them, then it’s worth a try. My old leathers now smell of Fairy and Gliptone :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ve always thrown my leathers in the washing machine, it never caused me any issues

The washing machine  think I will go with the warm soapy water see if that helps.

@Janey didn’t it not shrink to chipmunk size after that ?

I have tried the non bleach flash wipes before but that does nothing. With my new lid I clean it straight away when the buggers are still soft and squishy .

I think I have just come up with a new chore for the kids. You wanna go out to ride you bicycle then clean these first and your room :japanese_ogre:

For lids/visors just soak a paper towel in water & lay it over the surface for 10 minutes. Will soften them & they’ll just wipe away with no effort.

LoL, they were chipmunk sized to start with

I know that climb, definitely not fun in the wet!

I don’t think I’ve done it before, but Joel asked for hard lanes, and that looked tricky

We took one of the ‘kids’ out for a little trip to the seaside and ended up at the most westerly point in England earlier. Not that you can tell where we were from the carpark pic.
