Praise - Almax Security Chains

but when you have this happening …things are not that safe again

Ricky and I (well 99% Ricky) cut through an Almax Series VI 25mm at the weekend. Interestingly we took less time than when we cut through the series V 22mm chain. I think that’s because we are better at it now we’ve cut a few chains. With equal technique I think the series VI would take longer to cut than the series V. I guess you learn as you go along.

Thats a 23.4kg chain! No doubt ‘in the wild’ it would take even longer to cut as that link would not stay still that much…

Have to wonder at what point do you think… ok now you’re just making it thicker to brag?

I also wonder what the tipping point is time wise for the criminal element. 5 minutes? 10 maybe.

Also any chain that is not locked to a solid object is just more dead weight for a thief with a van to carry. It won’t be a deterrent for that type of theft unless it’s locked to something.

That will probably depend on location. On street, probably less… Garage only if they know house is vacant.

In a workshop somewhere remote, easily that and more…
