I think as a new person you do have to make the first move and just go up and say hello. I have found it daunting, having to push my way into conversations between people who already know each other or accost people who are on their own:P:D, but have done two meets and one newbie meet now, it does gradually get easier :):). It’s easier actually getting to know people if you can do a ride out with them, as that seems to break the ice a bit.

It will be easier if i had a bigger bike to do a ride out with people;). At the moment i have a YBR125 and its a replacement bike so i got to take it easy

How do you only quote part of a message? Tips please!! :unsure:Re the ride out part of your message, Elad (Ian) did a confidence ride out a few weeks ago, which unfortunately I couldn’t go on. But lots of L platers and people with small bikes did it apparently and really enjoyed it!! I also recently went on a ‘Wacky Wobblers Ride Out’ with some absolutely lovely people from the Box Hill Forum. This ride was a fairly sedate pace and for ‘newer’ riders too. So there are rides out for all capacities of rider and bike and it really does break the ice as you’ve all had fun and done something together. I haven’t seen any Lplate ride out yet but i’ll keep an eye out. Thank you
