i thought the turnout would have been better, especially with the weather how it was yesterday.
i went down on the tube (an hour and 40 mins to be precise) to find one newbie, as well as those mentioned.

Well interesting thread… LB is sliding I agree, Im first to admit I dont come on here much now because I dont always have the time or Access to a computer at work nor can I post on my phone. Im not going to bitch and moan at the mods or Jay I know they are busy and anytime spent on this site working is done FOC so fairplay to the hard work they do.
A lot of people on this site aren’t really here for the community you post while at work you ride home and thats your biking done others just read and dont feel they want to post take my rideout at the weekend id say 70% of the attendees didnt say they were coming just turned up but thats cool.
But sitting there saying LB is divided when your not doing anything about it other than making it worse is a bit hypocritical, Look at the France day trip what a load of bollox that was just because people wanted an hour more in bed so another group gets organised… :blink: Then Rob you organise another ride on the day Ive put a ride up which had been there for weeks thats just bad etiquette man, no matter how much you promote it in your 1st scentance, it was posted on the Miss Plum fan club site first-- sorry I mean BHB and there were no takers so you stick up on LB and you didnt fancy coming to Hunstanton because it didnt suit you? whatever the **** that means.
What total **** BHB is for a laugh so we can continue our banter You can do that on here or text and FB surley, the fact you have gone out your way to set up a forum means you want it to go somewhere otherwise you wouldnt bother what makes me laugh is you say oh its just for us lot so if thats the case why do you need to advertise in your signatures?? if its just for you lot then you see each other all the time no need to tell the world?? I think it takes the piss people who have only been on the site months moan about this one then use it to advertise their one!!!
If it was up to me I’d ban any form of forum advertising or links in signatures for rival forums relating to bikes unless your willing to pay for it. Maybe I should make the suggestion:unsure:
Yeah LB has gone off the Boil Yeah it can be boring but that should make us pull together not set up seperate little groups, I just fear with winter coming that this situation will only get worse…

The single biggest thing that has divided the forum, is creating a meet 5 minutes down the road on the same night as the official LB meet - pointless imo.
With LB you get out what you put in, same as any forum. If you can’t be arsed to even write a sentence on a thread showing some intent to go on a ride out, then don’t complain there arn’t enough ride outs happening. Why it has to be a big lottery as to who will turn up I do not know!! People organising them don’t take a non refundable deposit ya know!
Either way, in the last 6 months I have done wales, lake district, le mans, track days, ride outs with 70+ bikes etc when at the start of the summer I had a DAS certificate and not one mate with a bike so people shouldn’t think the forum is diminishing or rubbish because it is awesome.
You’re happily invited to go to North Korea where you will do what you’re told to do.
Here however everyone has the right to create a ride out wherever whenever they want. One ride out on a day is no reason to not have another one, for various reasons, e.g. people, direction, times, mileages, bla…
No one is forced to join your ride out or Rob’s ride out, unless, as said, you’re in NKorea.
If you mean me regarding moaning (since I’m only here a few months), no, I don’t moan about LB, I quite like it here. However again, I have the free will to create as many forums as I want, and there is Fcuk all you can do about it.
I also don’t get where you get the idea from it’s supposed to be a competing forum, no it isn’t. Never was, never will.
If I had the intention to create a rival to LB, which again to emphasize I don’t, it would neither be BH centered, nor would I advertise it here.

Leons right. the forum is awesome. I’m on 4 or 5 forums and aim to keep it that was as I do like different groups of friend with the same interests. So what if some want to start a little forum for themselves. you cant be mad at them for it. I’m sure the gixxer owners are on gixxer forums. why not be mad at them too. Or KTM owners on KTM sites.
Who cares if newb nights are quiet!? It’s October FFS. I was at my old instructing school on Sat and even they said that things had died down this year.
I do both BM and TH on a wed so that leaves me with precious little time at each venue but I’d like to see all my mates. For me, Ace is for Fridays.
I’ve been to 1 Newb meet in the height of summer and it only had 10 people there.
all things come to an end. If no one turnes up to newb night then let it end. they can always come to BM or TH. both are full of LB members and thats the main thing. EVERYONES LB FFS
There has always Been the choice of the ace on a Wednesday night aswell so having an old meet revived isn’t an issue
I think if the site worked from smart phones like all my other forums do then it would be alot easier to arrange things … Some one mentioned 70% turned up to a rdieout without saying they would be there . Well if it was like this nembie night thread I would not be able to say I was going to attend as the site wont let me on my phone . Seems a bit odd that it wont work from phones when even the most rudimentary underfunded zero adevertising revenue crappy science forums do ??? Af1 forum and SBN forum run on the same brand of forum and they are by far and away the smoothest forums for use on phone and computer . Maybe LB needs to swop to that type ??
speaking of BM how many turn up there each week ?, i will be there tomorrow night!
in an effort to add to the LB members list i’ve grabbed a few people from work and insisted they come with me so a nice big turn out of seasoned LB members would be good.
Sorry to hear Monday’s newbie night was a quiet one.
I almost turned up, but after leaving Wales at 5am to commute into London I was knackered. I’m sure many people were tempted out to drinks or other events on such a sunny evening too.
There’s been threads before now about LB dieing e.g. after one quiet BM. Then the next week is as busy as ever.
I think there’s always a liklihood that the occasional semi-organised get together will be a relative “flop” … and that makes it part of the fun when equally likely another one turns into an amazing success.
As Flats and others say, you get what you put in. Don’t judge LB by one quiet night, and if you need to - just suggest your own gathering to tempt everyone out for something new.
Like Leon, for a dieing forum the past couple of years have been amazing for me … not least Jetstream & Tim’s rides, Puppy’s ride, Bahrain and just now Tashkent.
I think the forum and the decent, active people on it are there and ready to share good times.
