agreed, maxrevs wasnt having a pop, but just sharing an experience that he does not wish to see repeated!
so in answer to it, all bikes are welcomed on any rides unless the organizer specifically states that its a slow run or a blast etc.
i cant see there being any major upset on the ride out because someone is riding to their own ability and maybe a bit slower, as long as every rider is between the lead rider and the tail gunner all will be fine! thus the tail gunner normally volunteers as they at times have to patient and not get frustrated. less experienced riders should not be made to feel a burden or feel that they are holding up the tail gunner! thats what he/she is there for to keep the ride together.
Regret that is not how I read it; it read as more a grumble at having slower riders in the group; if that was not the case then apologies MR. Maybe faster riders should roll off the throttle a bit and enjoy the scenery as they miss so much as we found earlier in the year around Arundel!!
Anyways, so Cornerman it is then…lets hope the weather holds and we have a good day. See ya all!
Thanks for the sensible responses guys n gals. I understand that this is a general rideout and I’m all for it. I’m not a speed-freak nutter – meeting people, making & keeping friends is very important to me.
The reason I made the posting was to pre-empt any potential problems, not to cause them. I really, really, really don’t want a them-and-us thing developing. I don’t like it on the forum and I don’t want it to happen on a rideout.
Please don’t misunderstand me, I absolutely don’t have a problem riding with L’s and if I have given that impression I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. It’s precisely because I didn’t want it to happen again that I related the story.
It sounds like the cornerman system will work well and I’m more than happy to volunteer to be one of the cornermen if it helps everyone enjoy the rideout together.

Hmmmmm well seeing as i have been training while all this has gone on i suppose i better get a word in…
Thanks AbbeyJ on the compliment/comment on my riding, much appreciated
I have been on other rideouts of mixed size, power and ability…, and as the majority of people that organise Rideouts on here try and cater for ALL RIDERS (again much appreciated) then generally a fun time has been had by all. In particular the last girls ride out to Worthing where we had a BLAST group and a POOTLE group, coming home Ginger kept me company at the back until i insisted he go and have a blast with the blast group and i could sit up and actaully take in some of the countryside and work on getting my riding right rather than riding to keep up with the bike in front…further on Andrew stopped in a layby to wait for me to go past to make sure i was ok… before he blatted off to catch up with the blast pack…
I have also been out with Shewoolf Pre-Das on a 125 and the Quiet One on a litre bike, i have ridden with a mate that has a 1200 Bandit, 10x the cc of my bike,
A few weeks back i participated in a treasure hunt organised by my local bike club, ther were on huge suzukis, a harley, a blackbird and a few others…and i wasnt the last to complete the hunt, and i kept making everyone laugh as i kept appearing at the front of traffic lights with them…MY CBR rocks…
I know which rides to put my name down against…
SO yes know your limits, know the route and know who your friends are…
Yeh as I took her out for a blast last time and had fun on the roundabouts…oops…should have kept that quiet!!
Come on Trisckie, I haven’t been on a rideout with ya yet…its the last bit of enjoyment your gonna get for a few days…I’m cooking (according to AJ) on Monday!!!
Yeah i might be up for this, have we arranged the meeting point yet? please dont ask me to meet up with AJ,coz she never turns up where she says she will
