Ride cancelled due to weather

Hi all.

After reading this post:

It got me thinking. Would anybody interested in doing something similar? It could be a shorter trip to somewhere like the New Forest?

I know this time of year is busy with family, work christmas parties etc but thought I would see if there was any interest. Thinking about 25th or 26th November.

Let me know if anybody is up for it.

I will wait for everybody in the car park-I am tall (6 foot 5 tall), dark hair, black jacket, I will have a hi vis vest for the sweeper, I ride a grey supermoto. If all else fails call me on 07766 498 430.

Edit: Lustfish (Shauna) has a black and red CBR6, she will be the mad one running around saying hello to all and sundry!

If you dont know where Box Hill is or are not confident on your own, perhaps somebody could voulenteer to meet peeps at the ace and go from there? Let me know either way.

A rough route is as follows-Thanks Lustfish.

From Box hill: A24, A29, A27, A272, Winchester, Romsey, Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Lymington. Stop for lunch in the Hare and Hounds then back up.

Any questions, let me know.

I will confirm last thing Friday or first thing Saturday if the ride is on after I check the weather.

Me, me me!!! I’m from that way so I can help out with routes Also, the infamous roundabout is out that way… (she says preying for just another dry and car free day)

End of November… dry?! I hate to have to tell you this boys and girls but its going to be wet and cold for the next 6 months… but might be up for a pootle.

None of us like riding in the rain!

The outing will be weather permitting, I will keep an eye on the forecast and keep you posted. In the meanwhile can those interested tell me:

  1. Anybody on L plates? so I know to avoid motorways etc.

  2. Preference on which day. Sat or Sunday.

  3. Lastly, does anybody want to head to anywhere in particular? Original thoughts were New Forest-about 100 miles each way but open to suggestions. If the weather isn’t great it might be better to head to somewhere a bit closer? Brighton/Eastbourne/Hastings?

Can’t do that weekend unfortunately, but otherwise, weather permits of course, definitely up for ride outs in future!

No L’s for me and I’m easy with the destination. I’ll just follow I’m also easy with the day so can work with the majority.

AJ and I are up for this on the Sunday as long as its not all motorway stuff as a) its boring and b) its bloody cold. Even with the best intentions and proper clothing I still find draughts get in and the ol’ boys getting on - ahhhhh!!

It’s not possible to go down to the New Forest using the motorway!!! It’s all amazing windy B roads… [grin]
