O.K. I don’t expect purple prose from ebay sellers and at least it’s an honest advert, but would you cross London to visit?

:D…loads of stuff to pick on there but i particularly like how he knows it will start but its not been started for a year…press the button !!!

I didn’t know there were any trailer parks in West London!

He types like a northerner talks and if I didn’t know better … I’d have guessed it was one of my relatives who using voice to text software :hehe:I think if you are interested … speak to the chap on the phone first … and if he doesn’t sound southern then he is most likely genuine … and I apologise for my half of the country on his behalf

:stuck_out_tongue:

wotz rong am i missin sumfink?:ermm:

Out of all those mistakes, ‘a nuver’ is the best!

And we wonder why the country is going to the dogs?

What choo on abaat e dunna saand nuffink lake 1 at tus

Plenty like this on Ebay but a lot of sellers are using English as a second or third language…some may have other problems so perhaps we shouldn’t judge too quickly…but some are just plain thick…

Ha ha ha, this sounds just like Swiss-German ; because it is not an actually language (hasn’t got a grammar so not acknowledged), people write the way they talk (officially they would write in German). You never know, the way the kids write txt messages these days it could take off ha ha ha – be good for people like me who cannot spell to safe their lives J

And there’s me thinking Smiled had got other plans for his " slingshot " - didn’t realise that included e-bay :hehe:

That’s brilliant. It looks like it was written in the eighteenth century by a Londoner out of a Hogarth print. Proper London phonetic vernacular. Blinding!

Lol did no one at all pick up on the reason for the sale it is even funnier than the really bad spelling…

and then the bloke who suffered from chronic dyslexia as a child and spent years being ridiculed cos he couldn’t read or write spoke up and some of you lot thought better about taking the ****…

oh, sorry, did I just speak.

Fair point.

I’m glad that some of you understood it, was all double dutch to me!

+1 :hehe:

And I don’t think I could but a bike from someone like that, even if it looked a good deal!

Possibly, but then would he not get someone else to write the advert for him if he knew it would end up being ridiculed?

do you have the link…

Edited, sorry, don’t want to come over as a miserable tart, but this touched a personal nerve and sometimes I wish people would just think before posting stuff sometimes…
