Suffered from Dyslexia myself. Apparently I was at first diagnosed as thick (some still come to that conclusion). Either way I gave up reading the ad half way through. Gave it another go however after reading all the comments.
Has to move his shed so needs to sell the bike its pretty much a wreck and hes gutted because he loves it and really would have liked to have kept it :D:and when you turn up have cash
so why aren’t you spelling like a 4 year old to? i could of swore that northerners get taught the same spelling in school as us southerners? lol dude, he’s just thick as pig ****!!!
sorry but if you were mentally disabled , you would at least get a mate or someone to write the advert for you , wouldn’t ya! bringing me to the conclusion even if he does have problems (clearly) he is still " thick as pigs poop"
Surely it doesn’t matter if he has dyslexia or not, his advert is still humourous because of the mistakes?
I have no such writing/reading affliction but still make mistakes that other people laugh at, some of which I cannot easily correct – but I laugh along with them, I don’t get all censorious about it.
If the chap knows he has problems with dyslexia or simply cannot read or write, he should be asking someone to help him if he wants to get it right.
There is a BIG difference between humour and ridicule
You’ve got a point, dyslexia is a mental disability. I suppose my problem with you describing me that way, is I don’t know you, so what you’re saying and the way you’re saying it could be described as quite insulting… yeah? no? maybe?
Of course northerners are taught the same spelling - (incidentally I don’t “spell like a 4 year old” because I type letters and court documents for a living so I’d be shafted if I couldn’t spell) - what I said was - it is wrote how a northerner would talk - i.e. phonetically - re-reading it - I suppose it is phonetically wrote regardless of the accent. Obviously - I read it in my head with a northern accent - and to be honest it made sense - which is why I said the chap was most likely genuine.
Toby - I hope you don’t think I was having a dig at the chap - if anything I was having a dig at “my own folk” not him.
Living in London has killed the majority of my accent but our lass always says it’s funny when I’m on the phone to family or friends from back home because I slip back into it.
yea fair play what im saying is if you were at a disadvantage then if you dont like the term disability , a guy who cant walk properly might use crutches or a wheel chair , a guy who cant spell should ask a mate to help him out especially if he wants to sell something, you wouldnt want him writing your court docs just as u wouldnt buy anything when the ad has been written like that.
not ridiculing not discrimination , common sense
