Yeah I had the same problem, but am naturally cold handed anyway! Borrow or use a pair of good skiing gloves, wind/cold/rain cant penetrate them. 10 mile commute, arrive with warm hands.
Thicker on the underside than normal winter gloves so can take a bit of getting used to with clutch and front brake.
