Infinity Motorcycles - Hanger Lane

I’m not a happy bunny this morning.:crying:

I bought a pair of Sidi Vertigo Corsa boots from the above shop after trying on almost every boot they had in the shop. I spent over my budget as these were the only boots that truly felt comfy as I have a wide foot and chunky calfs and there is lots of adjustment on the Corsas. I paid £229.99 for my boots and was happy with my purchase until I had a nose on Infinity’s website this morning and to my horror they are selling MY boots for £202.50 with free P&P.

I called Infinity and asked if this was a mistake and received the answer that if I had told them their online price they would have matched it but as i was happy with the price yesterday there is no chance of a retrospective discount.

I asked if I could take them back for a refund and then i would buy online but that was met by the fact that I would not get a refund as the goods are not faulty.

The only concession I was given was that if I buy from them again and mention this they will give me a discount on my next purchase.

This can’t be right surely?

So… Learn by my mistake, if you intend to buy from Infinity, check the website first and save yourself £££££’s

PS… You don’t get LBers discount either

I feel for you there m8 but the shop has done nothing wrong really. All I can say is they do not appear to be concerned for your future business. If a shop is any good and wants repeat trade from its customers then surely they would consider a deal.No perseption of VFM = No long term custom let your feet do the talking and go elswhere in future.

My advice is always research the internet first, try the stuff on or look at it in the shop next and make sure it fits or is what you want. If it is OK then tell em you want a really good deal. If they dont feel the need to take your money off you order the stuff off the internet or buy from somewhere else.

I have done this ever since I have had access to the internet and have had some amazing bargains. I have also managed to get those bargains at the local shops who have happily matched or sometimes bettered the internet deal and in the process I always look at shopping with them first for my next purchase, using the same method of course.

Unfortunately as you have found they are often the same companies, Internet or high street shop.

Not much help I know… just my view to add to your`s really.

Speak to Johnny Nitro…Top Chap and hes just started there and may be able to re-build the bridges

I know what you are saying and usually i am very cute when it comes to purchasing bike bits and bobs but i do have a problem when it comes to buying clobber online. I have learnt from experience that its rare to get two “identical” clothing items exactly the same. The boots I tried on were perfect for my feet and so i wanted that pair. There is no guarantee a pair by post would feel quite the same.

I just want to point this pricing anomaly out to other prospective customers as I feel £30 is a huge difference.

Where’s Jonny Bravo when you need him :D:D

Ian

I know:angry:He did say to me to wait until he started next week but I’m an impatient fecker:Whistling:

Now i brought him indoors a new pair of Sidis the other week, seen them online, went in, he tried them on to make sure they fit the same as his current old pair and i asked if they would do them for the online price, Two happy customers one with a new pair of Sidis and one with a new Arai Helmet walked out half an hour later

If that is the case, and they are willing to discount like that, why should the walk in customer be ripped off?

You’d better be polite to them as you will be going back there every other month to have the fishing reel/strappy thing accross the top of the boot replaced.

They snap all the time!! :w00t:

So if that happand to snap now - so soon after purchase - they’d have to refund surely??? Serious fault that…:Whistling:

See the thing is i am often in there and I spend money in there, i could have brought my Arai elsewhere the other week but the place in Ruislip where i saw it and tried it on just didnt make me feel as welcome as they do in Infinity, and if you had done your homework before you could have asked the same question … men and shopping huh … :P, i guess it also depends on who serves you too,

Well thats the problem. The firm that import the boots don’t do refunds they will repair them… time and time again…

But as I explained to you I had no idea which boots I would end up buying as it’s down to the fit at the end of the day. are we supposed to go there armed with print-outs of all the boots on their website? I had no idea I was going to come away with Sidi’s as until then i could never do a pair of them up properly:w00t:

You spent £230 on a pair of boots?!
Jeez, I only paid 250 for my bike!

I stil cant hence the new Daytonas i will be getting monday

Have you tried the Vertigos?I was really surprised:cool:

No i tried on the Black Rain Sidis like what i got the old man cos he has had his years, the Vertigos are little over the top for me and my little naked 400 even though they are a nice boot :stuck_out_tongue:

I tried the Black Rains too but got nowhere near doing them up:crazy:They are a bit OTT for me too but they are soooo comfy.

Bit like the Daytonas i tried on i ened up standing there chatting in them they were so comfy a bit like Cinderella they fitted and i knew they were the ones, cant wait til Monday

This is common now-days…

Most shops offer a discounted price for goods bought on-line.

I bought a TomTom Rider from Curry’s last year. I ordered it on-line and colleceted it from the store, and saved £100 on the in-store price…

Go to the store and try the kit on, go home and order it on-line at the cheaper price, have it delivered or collect and save some cash.
