ok,i was playing follow the leader with some unknown biker on my way home from work last night, we get to a nice strait…i over took him ,he then slams on his anchors and i carry strait past him only to be stung by the radar gun…
i step off the bike and the copper asks…’‘how fast ya reckon you were doing?’’…i took a stab in the dark at 65 mph…and he pressed his lil button…80mph…i was gutted as he said that i have just lost my license for 6 months…
i went over to the car and stood there in awe that 5 mins ago,the only thing on my mind was pizza when i get home, and now this…
so i start to walk back to my bike and the copper asks were im going…i said i was just going to sit on my bike as nothing i can say will make this any better so what the hell is the use in trying…the copper then turns to me and says he’s gonna give me a break and give me 3 points and a 60 quid fine…fookin result!!!:).
Talking to a friend on Sunday, exactly same thing happened to him near A1, except he says he was goaded into a ‘race’ with an unknown biker…who also managed to stick on the anchors at the precise moment a radar trap was sprung…unluckily, he lost his licence.
I know it takes very little to get him to ‘race’ any other biker…but could this be entrapment?
(Just for the conspiracy theorists amongst you…:D)
ya know…adzkie…that very thought went strait threw my mind as i was thinking about it when i rode off from the police…this guy could ride really well and i remember thinking that he rode in the same style as Broady.
i mean…he was useing all the road and it just seemed really fluid and smooth…and he didnt let me pass untill i got too the strait…there’s no way he could have seen the police so far back…ohh well…if i got suckerd i got suckerd…
VERY strange you should say that, cos i forgot, one of the now ex biker pal here in work said something similar months back? He said he was kinda “goaded” into following another biker who he said was “up for it”, HE slowed down pretty sharpish and my workmate did same but he to lost his licence in the end…but this was in Kent…hmmmmm are they starting to play that game?
I have read articles about the police using unmarked sports bikes with cameras installed to record people - they ride to keep up with them though rather than lure them - still could have been i suppose. so when we going for a ride then mate
