The bikes is so near perfect it makes everything else in its range but a 1098R seam a bit pointless.

Just don’t drop her the its a £1000mim and their 1098S and Hypermoto have both been crashed already.

Gorgeous bike and great pics. Talent all round.
It’s nicely different. At this level there’s not much between them, certainly not enough for a rider of my ability to determine. The Ducati was taller, stiffer, the brakes too grabby, but the engine was a peach. Horses for courses, but it’d take me a long time to get as comfortable on a 1098 as I am on my gixxer.I’d like to give it a go though 
Still, you can’t give up the insane head-rush of a 13.5k rpm 1000cc inline-four. That’s bonkers.

I hated the 916 style stand. It made a nervous wreck of me on the few occassions I got to ride one. It made fuel stops almost heart stops:w00t:

Cracking pics, awesome looking machine too! Have to admit I couldn’t understand all the fuss about the 1098 last year. But the 848 I do like, certainly stood out from the crowd in that colour scheme the first time I saw one sitting outside a Ducati dealership!!
What is the difference between the two except for the colour, engine size and stickers?
