Not necessarily on bikes, but have a look at this. A few mates of mine done it a while back. Vehicle has to be less than £500 and then you can modify it any way you want. And, it’s all for charity mate!
Is it funny because it’s Chips or funny because it’s a big idea?
Either way, someone needs to have big ideas, otherwise nothing would ever be achieved.
Maybe I took him seriously because I’ve managed projects (someone’s big idea) with budgets of about £30million. Chips’ idea might be big, it might be stupid, but that doesn’t mean it can’t or shouldn’t be done. If he wants to do it, all he needs to do is ask people for advice/help and work farking hard. It’s not impossible.
It will be about a weekIt will officially start in AmsterdamIt will be passing Nurburgring, and MonzaIt will be passing through the AlpsIt will end somewhere beautiful
I’ve planned loads more, I just don’t want to give the game away It will be a complex route incorporating loads of different types of roads, with short stints on the autobahn, where there are no speed limits, as well as mountain passes etc. It wont be for the feint hearted and those who don’t like being in the saddle for more than an hour, although the maximum time from checkpoint to checkpoint will never be more than 4 hours, with plenty of places to stop en-route.
I am working tirelessly to create a précis to the event in one document so I can send it around, speak to people, and hopefully get a big name on board. As well as that, I got someone inside of MCN who I know and likes the idea, which always helps.
Despite this, it would be a great help if anybody in any industry that could help us along the way would like to get involved. We’re talking hotels, restaurant chains, insurance companies, travel agents, whatever might come up, i don’t know, that’s why i need all the help that people are prepared to offer me in return for sponsorship of the event.
Who know’s, maybe we’ll all be drinking Monster energy down there. If we’re lucky…
That’s all im saying without giving too much away. If it goes ahead I’d like to get it done by next summer.
