@Fooligan - no worries mate, I know it’s a bit of a financial commitment to do this
A little bumpity bump for those still needing to pay… I’ve been away for three days so haven’t had a chance to ring Golding Barn to see if there are still spaces left
And another bump - just got off the phone with them. The lady on the other end of the line said she is holding onto the 10 places for as for as long as she can so that we can get the discount.
If you do want to do this but aren’t able to paid until a later date, let me know and I’m sure if we ring them they’ll be fine to hold on.
I’ll PM the people who expressed an interest but have not heard anything since just to make sure what’s going on
And of course if anyone else is interested, get on board - we don’t bite… well not a lot!
So it would seem we have 9 now committed to this (or is that 9 that should be committed for doing this? :P)
I guess I’ll throw out another shout-out to anyone else interested in this… it’s still not too late to sign-up and you don’t have to pay the full amount upfront!
Also Sir Yamalot, could you let me know if you’re coming for this?
Very sneakily I just booked Monday off work to recuperate from this so I can really thrash it around on the day… or try to anyway
Our pics of the last Golding Barn one are on the gallery if you wanna look:D I e mailed Barry and he is holding a place as part of the LB massive so will get the deposit paid shortly.
I took a look at those photos this lunchtime and they look amazing… Can’t wait now, I’m really excited about this… Just had a near off-road moment when I hit some dirt and gravel coming out of a roundabout and trying to overtake on the exit which was bendy, rear wheel went waaaaay over to the right. But held it together and the moment I did that I actually thought to myself - “I need to wait till the 26th to be doing that!!!”
Hels has now pulled out of this so we still have two spaces available at the very least. They are keeping 10 places for us until someone asks for them. At the moment they still have more than 10 free… If tsomeone asks for our spaces she will call me and if no one else is interested then, we will lose our two. Some further information for you lot who are coming on the day.
You need to bring a packed lunch with you. There is nothing onsite (the lady said this place is in the middle of nowhere) and if you decide to go offsite, you are eating into your riding time then. Also given that it’s a Sunday many of the local shops will be closed.
Bring a towel and a change of clothes with you (at least a T-shirt) cause we’ll be getting dusty and quite sweaty!!!
If you want drinks like Gatorade, lucozade or coke, bring that with you as well… We’ll have water, tea and coffee but that’s about it. There are no fridges there unfortunately though…
If you have any other questions… you know what to do
I’ve been twice so far and it’s not too hard to find (although you need to allow time - at least two and a half hours to make it there without stressing). One recommendation I would make though is DON’T BIKE DOWN!!! It’s a hard day and going in a car makes it more fun and relaxing when travelling back home again after a day standing up on the pegs
Gutted I can’t make it - but with mum so up and down I can’t commit to anything that costs money and which I might have to pull out of if the worst comes to the worst.
Our photo gallery of the last time is up, so you folks can get an idea of what it’s like anyway:D
Ive not read all this properly so i may have missed it but is there a website?
Saying that Hels you may be able to clear it all up for me. Basicaly i may be interested in coming just for the fact of chillin the bean with a group of like minded people who im yet to meet off here.
I used to race MX though so dont realy want to go if im not gona get to push the bike to my limits, money aint a problem. If i still had my own bike i wouldnt even consider this but ive not had chance to hit an MX track for a few years now and i miss the buzz.
Hi, the track is quite big - over a mile I believe - and has quite a few jumps and table-tops - though is “beginner friendly”. The standard day is intended for relative beginners, though if they suss you know you what you’re doing they can get you on a better MX bike etc for more of an experience, rather than the restricted (but still fun) standard bikes they have.
Im gona take a guess i met you on the ride i got pulled by the coppers? Im realy bad at remembering those ive rode with untill ive rode with them a few times, everyone seems to remember me for some reason though, they even know who i am as soon as i pull up cant for the life of me work out why :w00t:
