what is it?
i think your a twat!!!
smiled:D.
WHAT IS IT!!! lol
i believe it was the “first bike on scene” course
see all info here:
ooooo okay, lol
Excellent day - those who have the misfortune to have an accident should pray that the people that did the course today are there
Shame more of you didnt take up the offer - well done Ginger
I`d wish he said it properly instead of in code, what a twit.
It really was an in formatative day and I reckon everybody that gets on a bike should get off their backsides and do it. I certainly hope if I have the misfortune to require first aid there is somebody around who has done this.
Well done for organising Ginger.
Really, really important skills to learn - especially as we often go out on large rideouts. All it takes is two people to make a big difference in the immediate aftermath of an accident.
Definitely worth doing!
Thanks for organising it Ginger… It was a very good day, lots learnt.
My knees are carpet burnt, red raw, … next time I’ll be going with Marks plumbing trousers on (they have great knee pads in them)
i may be a twit for the way i posted it up but at the time i was in the room up there learning,
im surprised that other didnt want to do it, but at least i learnt alot doing this course and others did aswell,
so before you call me a twit, who is a twit for not coming, would you know how to remove a helmet safely, would you know how to do a log roll, and CPR,
touch wood it never happens but i would rather have someone thats been on a fbos day to remove my helmet rather than a twit like you
If you were in the room learning why were you on here instead of learning, twit.
We were allowed coffee breaks you know
It was a brilliant day, you learn a few really important bits of skill. It wasn’t too much to learn, and you really feel confident when you leave that you can employ your new skills, should you ever need to (although we all hope we don’t).
Wicked one, chears Ginger for sorting that out - excellent organising
, and cheers everyone for a brilliant day, it wouldn’t have been the same without your good humour
Excellent day thanks Ginger ! Top chap for organising it
I had no idea that 30% (was that the figure ?) of fatalities are caused not by the accident or impact but by things that go wrong immediately after the accident, like a blocked air way that can potentially be rectified so easily. If I can help to save somebody’s life by doing the simple things we learnt today then I’d be very happy and £35 is such a bargain price to have an opportunity to do that.
That’s true, never a dull moment with LB people, even if Mole would put your head on bricks and nick your helmet if you ever came off ;):P:D
Big hands for Ginge!
Its true, anyone has an off, you better hope we’re around, Ambulance takes 19 minutes on average…we might be right there with you right then and there… If the ambulance turns up and you been lying there for 19 minutes with no one looking after you, you got a loooooooooow chance…if we been looking after you for 19 minutes…you got a MUCH better chance of makin it…
Ginge this makes you THE LIFE SAVER!
TOP TOP effrot for getting this together mate. You are officially certified by the ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS! We ALL are!
Top man
If anyone gets round to sorting one out in Central london i’ll be there… Oxford is just WAY too far, living south of London and all that…
Cant believe that these courses seem to be so few and far between… Perhaps we should try and get this sort of course built into the test, rather than the new Euro test nonsense they are forcing through!?
There are not any local ambulance trusts that run this course but the Oxford team will travel to you if you can find a suitable venue. ![]()
