Diary date - Sun 10 Nov, Remembrance Sunday

“Never in the field of human conflict has so much hot chocolate
and the odd mcflurry been consumed by so few”

The Cock Horse it is then

The Cock House is probably somethingwhere completely different

I was most relieved to see that Geoff re-joined the ride and was offered roast lunch as a compensation for my poor observation skills at said roundabout  Needless to say all the other lost riders lost themselves to head home and thus are not on my conscience

My bike looks as if I have ridden through an Amazon swamp, but enjoyed the green lanes

Thanks Julian, jets and the Hel gunner :stuck_out_tongue: … interesting route o_O, excellent lunch, very good company and I am hoping my nuts will eventually slide back down my groins into there rightful place, so all’s good

For next year Art suggested we honour the Royal Navy. Mrs J liked the idea so much she’s planning the route :ermm:

+1 the Navy Lark

Those of you commenting on the state of some of the roads have forgotten that my satnav once lead us down this road -

Maybe you could try this one on your next ride. Some people should not be allowed Sat Navs.

particularly into the Blackwall tunnel eh Rusty? southbound on yer way to Bedford?

The problem is foreign HGV’s following their car satnav’s expecting to take a 13’10" artic through a 13’ hole Northbound

So sat nav causes muddy troubles and one persists in following it whilst leading other rideouts. sat navs can be misleading but its all down to waypoints set on them and how you’ve set the sat nav…

ie: longest route

shortest route

quickest route etc… :ermm:

errare humanum est, perseverare autem diabolicum.

= its broken

it’s Latin you illiterate South African monkey.

No worries Julian, it gave me an interesting insight into K Pow Trips abilities on combined mud and gravel surfaces. I have now been inspired to take her off roading (have not off roaded a road bike since back in my younger days when I had the little CB 250, 8 and a half years ago in 2005! ) Maybe it’s time to borrow your Sat Nav and learn how to off road that Triumph in style

BTW do we get to hear the end of that little story above? Did all the bikes make it out without the aid of the RAC?

shut up you white line overtaking, arm flapping Italian chain smoker :stuck_out_tongue:

Hels - when we discovered a gate chained to an enormous lump of concrete to stop it being opened we turned round and rode back to the tarmac.

Glad you were inspired by those roads yesterday. They are the sort of thing I have got used to riding support for 100 mile charity cycle rides, but I guess I need to get back to riding proper roads or take up proper green laneing!
