Diary date - Sun 10 Nov, Remembrance Sunday

UPDATE: Remembrance Day Ride, Sunday 10 November.

A spectacular Giuliano/Jetstream collaboration ride of commemoratoion

Two meeting points:

Ace Café - Depart 9.15 - Jetstream leading to Box Hill (There will not be time for breakfast here)

Box Hill - Depart 10.30 sharp - Giuliano leading to the memorial at RAF Kenley for 11am

The route will include memorials at RAF Detling and RAF Manston. Wear poppies, we can place them at one of the memorials on the way.

Cornerman system will be in use, read here: http://londonbikers.com/forums/435756/The-cornerman-system-explained and if you’re not sure about it, ask anyone at the setting off points

Room for a Volvo? November is outside of motorcycle season.

You mean it is outside your motorcycling season!

Well it’s a good job those who we will be remembering didn’t want to take their volvos:w00t:

Oooh, I was just wondering where to go this year the other day. I’m generally up for this, but probably wont decide until the morning of or the day before.

I’d have the Scribe make notations on the calendar that normally hangs on the magic cupboard door except neither Scribe, calendar nor magic cupboard door has been seen since the move.

Mrs Art assures me that the packing operation was run with military precision and although it appears that many Art efacts have been lost this is not the case. They are in fact squirrelled away in a safe place known only to her and she’s forgot where not revealing the present locations due to security reasons :ermm:

Please send note via pigeon/owl nearer the date

edit: and could a ‘cornerman qualified’ rider volunteer to shepherd Giuliano, SilverR6 and Rixxy should we venture onto the wider expanses of tarmac

Sorry Art we don’t have any trained birds but we may be able to rustle up a guinea pig with a note attached

Shame about the misplacement of your Art efacts

Excellent, and if guinea pig could be cat flap trained it can enter the temporary Art lodgings via the bathroom.

Cant make this :crying: because we will be riding around Nepal

That`s a shame, have a good trip.

OK, this non militaristic ride includes a visit to the home of,

And a memorial to Barnes Wallis who tested an early version of his bouncing bomb at Reculver from our destination.

A rare Battle of Britain action shot from a German plane of one of our destinations.

I will be up for this (although there is a massive Ladies Bike Event on the same day with everyone wearing bright Red and carrying mahoosive poppies around the M25 or something, which I need to investigate for me and K-Pow Trips also)

Hels, what’s a K-Pow Trip? is it psychodelic? Is it legal?:ermm:

This ride will be far more fun than the planned gathering of poppy wearing bikers on the M25 at 12.30 for The Ring of Red.

K-Pow Trips is the name of my bike. I will explain how this name came about when we meet (I know it seems a bit of a random one;) )

I fancy wearing a massive poppy and I have a red dress from French Connection that I am planning on wearing over my leathers (not to detract of course from the solemnity of the occasion).

Perhaps I will do a quick spin round the M25 and join you folks off one of the junctions.

OK Hels, wear the big poppy & the red dress, just ditch the M25:Whistling:

(PS will the white scarf still be in attendance? )

That I’ve got to see !!

Sounds like a plan  Although I have a white and grey spotted wool scarf now ( am a bit more up to date with the fashions and it matches the grey bike and grey and white lid too - with the red as a contrasting block colour, it will be just the thing for the autumn season)

(ps Emsee - at least this means if I’m tailgunner again I won’t lose any riders)
