… any tips would be grateful!

Thanks, x

Where abouts are ya? Just on my days off I tend to go from Slough up North West way. Nice roads between Beaconsfield, Amersham, and Leighton Buzzard.

If you’re near me you’re always welcome to join me on a hoon when I’m off work. I work 4 on 4 off.

Nurburgring :D;)

Ealing me… im normally off on Thurs afternoons… at the moment… hoping to change work hours to less… im really bad with geography… so ive never been to any of those places… but willing to go to new places… thanks!

perfect!!!

Well…next time I’m off out and the weather is nice we can meet up at the Ace and I’ll show you some of the roads.

Jools.

I’m off every thursdays, could show you some nice routes one day

Or you could go to some rideouts. Thats how I built up confidence and got on roads I didn’t know.

SPG has one planned for Saturday 18th, if you can get up the M1 to Hemel.

Ride4fun may be doing another one from Dunstable near the end of this month.

The Corner man system means you can go at your own pace, and don’t need to know where you are or where your going.

Probably loads of others nearer to you.

i’m up high beech way…wont be about for few weeks but after…if i have wheels…i could show you the essex lanes that are close to high beech:)

while you’re up that way ratty check out ware and little hadley some nice bits trhough there just off the A10 and M25.

I don’t think going on a group rideout is the right thing to do. If anything it will knock your confidence even more. In larger groups you get your fair share of d*ckheads who have no idea about group riding, and others that will ride 2ft from your numberplate, as if in some sort of race. That’s not to say it happens on every rideout, but…You’d be better off going for a ride with one or two people who will give you the space, on some nice easy roads. There’s plenty out this way (Berks/Bucks area).

went to high beech yday… loved it… gave me plenty of chance to filter through traffic too… but yea sort out a R6 and gis us a shout when ur out and bout…

all routes are welcome… really wana go bout whether it be on my own or in a group… just wana b out on the bike…

thanks for ur help everyone

im starting off slowly, doing rides with one or two for now… but by the time i get around to doing a group ride/or organising one ill have enough practise to watch out for the dcikheads… :)thanks for the help… could you also be a lil more specific on the roads berks/bucks please.

You could ride out to Dorchester, Wallingford. There’s a fairly popular biker cafe called Harley’s Diner. From here (Maidenhead) it’s about 30-35 miles, A308 to Marlow, A4155 to Henley, A4130 to Dorchester. It’s not too bad, and although there are much better roads about, it’s fairly fast roads and nothing too taxing. Let me know if you head out this way, and I might be able to come along.

A7,

If you are at High Beach, just a bit further up the B1393 gets you to Epping. Check your map out for the B184 from Ongar to Leaden Roding, (Ongar is 5 mins from Epping) then B184. Probably leads you towards some of the best bends in the area. B184 through the Rodings, Hatfield Broad Oak, Takely, Molehill Green, Elsenham. Just pick any of those roads for some serious fun. Warning, do not approach these roads if you want straight tarmac, mostly NSL if you can ;o)

Happy riding

hey, yeah HB is kool, ther eare some great roads nearby, i dont really know teh names of them, but baisicly you go through epping green, jacks hatch, bumbles green, broxbourne, nazeing…then theres the BCR roads that run to finchingfield up near stanstead saffron waldon way.

i give ya shout when i get me new bike, i will need to ride them roads on a new steed:D

I know a few good roads in Poland. But if that’s a bit far you could do worse than Ongar to Great Dunmow, Dunmow to Finchingfield, the back route from Dunmow to Chelmsford, Dunmow to Saffron Walden or any combination thereof.

God how I miss those roads. I’m now stuck in SE London. Don’t ask, the love of a good woman and all that!

dude…

listen to the voices:D them roads are ace!!

Another good one I’ve just remembered. Finchingfield to Haverhill, but dont stop at Haverhill it’s a sh1t hole. From Haverhill go to Newmarket if you want to visit BlackBear, Harley dealers, who are good guys with a crap coffee machine, or take the road to Saffron Walden or to Long Melford via Stoke by Clare.

Fk FK FK FK why did I leave that much abused county of Essex.

Anybody help me with good rides in the Garden of England, aka Kent?
