Bike Fashion Faux Pas

http://www.visordown.com/features/every-motorcycle-fashion-faux-pas-ever/20460.html

Okay everyone must be guilty at least of one of the faux pas’ - I’m guilty of jeans into boots (sure as hell can’t get skinny jeans over the boot) and mis-matching leathers with the bike!

I have done the ears on the lid. I liked the ears on the lid. It was funny. But annoying if I lost one. Which happened.

guilty of the camo trousers and the fleece over leathers, which had a surprisingly accurate description…

Sunglasses and clear visor…yup that’s me. And Rim tape on my old bike.

Mullet, and can’t see you with one Ian.

haha ive done a few

I Wouldn’t agree with ‘fleece over leathers’ It makes you look cool

Plus:

  1. They keep you warm.
  2. They keep your leathers clean.
  3. If you get caught in a shower they dry really quickly.

I’d say colour clashing with the bike is another faux pas and/or too many stickers! :hehe:

You’ve meet Joby then?

rimtape…

Done jumper over textiles but never fleece!

Jeans inside boots is just wrong, wrong, WRONG!!!

And I can’t stand bike-manufacturer branded leathers…they don’t make you look cool, they make you look like a complete tw@t.

ha!ha!..oops…sorry!

my jeans are nearly always in my boots i thought i was trend setting ???

I am guilty of hi-vis and sunglasses under a clear visor.

I didn’t realise that the suinglasses thing was a fashion faux pas, it certainly beats squinting as you ride and it seems more convenient than having to carry a spare visor & stopping to change at dusk.

I know the cool kids sneer at hi-vis but I wouldn’t ride through the winter rush hour in the dark without one. Better than getting smeared down the road by some mypoic old dear who didn’t see you.

I’ll head out this afternoon for the rim tape and kitty ears :Whistling:

Great grip son…

actually i think jeans in boots was a reminder of when i was younger and on a push bike, any one who has ever caught thier jeans (flares) in a bike chain will know what im talking about???

Hi vis - but other than that, I am a cool fashionista of the highest order. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wasn’t Shane wearing a fleece top over his leathers yesterday?

jeans in boots is a big no no… there is absolutely no reason and it looks terrible!

Unless of course you’re a fan of skinny jeans in which case, unless you’re a girl, there’s a wider issue to deal with first!

Scooter blankets may look terrible, as do muffs but they serve a purpose and for the pinstripe trouser wearing scooter rider they are a must to keep warm… Anything that has a function in my view cannot be ridiculous! If you want to suffer for fashion then why not ride sans biker gear at all?

how on earth is rim tape a fashion faux pas??? and sunglasses ???

the only thing stupid about wearing jeans inside your boots is that you acually wearing jeans…

and yes what Alex said, anything that has a purpose is not ridiculous.
