Okay everyone must be guilty at least of one of the faux pas’ - I’m guilty of jeans into boots (sure as hell can’t get skinny jeans over the boot) and mis-matching leathers with the bike!
I am guilty of hi-vis and sunglasses under a clear visor.
I didn’t realise that the suinglasses thing was a fashion faux pas, it certainly beats squinting as you ride and it seems more convenient than having to carry a spare visor & stopping to change at dusk.
I know the cool kids sneer at hi-vis but I wouldn’t ride through the winter rush hour in the dark without one. Better than getting smeared down the road by some mypoic old dear who didn’t see you.
I’ll head out this afternoon for the rim tape and kitty ears :Whistling:
actually i think jeans in boots was a reminder of when i was younger and on a push bike, any one who has ever caught thier jeans (flares) in a bike chain will know what im talking about???
jeans in boots is a big no no… there is absolutely no reason and it looks terrible!
Unless of course you’re a fan of skinny jeans in which case, unless you’re a girl, there’s a wider issue to deal with first!
Scooter blankets may look terrible, as do muffs but they serve a purpose and for the pinstripe trouser wearing scooter rider they are a must to keep warm… Anything that has a function in my view cannot be ridiculous! If you want to suffer for fashion then why not ride sans biker gear at all?
