my brother has VFR 400 such an amazing looking bike but he seems to think he has to do a special test before he can ride it for it ???http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=VXthY9tc5nM&feature=related[/quote]No, I said Geared CBT and Test on 125 Don’t get too excited
you dont need to do your cbt on a geared bike ,
the cbt is classed as the same whether you do it using gears or not
however you will need to pass your license before you can ride anything
between 15bhp and 33bhp
after two years of riding on this license you will automatically be able to ride anything above 33bhp
or just take your das
so your brothers right
is the test hard does anyone know if i can do an online test or where i can get learning material tips etcim over 21 so will i have to wait 2 years or whatever
You can do the cbt on an auto and then ride a 125 geared bike. You cant ride a restricted 400 on a cbt you must pass your test first. If that was the case i would pass the cbt and then buy a restricted R1. You cant do this.
So who would choose to do a geared one when they can do the easier one and hop straight on a geared 125? Is this a loophole? I know of at least one unnamed training school charging for clutch conversion CBTs (80 quid ish) so what’s the point?
Anyone with a 50cc twist and go CBT can wait a year then hop straight on a geared 125? Madness I tell ya
