Well all I got knocked off me bike at 08:55 this morning by a female drunk driver.
I am just a bit brusied and the bike is a bit bent, in the garage for repairs.
I was by the way stationary at the lights on Southbridge road Croydon waiting to turn left behind an Audi, when the world exploded behind me. Feels like I have been hit in the back with a canon ball.
oooooo sorry to hear that Doc, GWS hun, I hope they ban her for life - stupid bleeeep
I’ve had it with car drivers - I had a knock off on sunday but seems you sustained alot more injury than I luckily managed to walk away with. (something to be said for being a padded lady!)
Thanks all there is a lot to be said for good Givi panniers as they seem to have absorbed the impact.
Her Citreon Xsara front end disintergrated in shards of blue plastic. The police carted her off screaming.
The Coach driver behind her and the Audi driver where both diamonds and stayed until I was taken off in the ambulance. Lamba Motorcyles in Carshalton were straught in there to secure the bike for me. Thanks Neil!
Damn, Doc, that’s a rough ride. Hope you don’t have any whiplash or the like. Is the bike ridable? They’ll take her to the cleaners, or at least I hope they do. Drunk at 9am in town? Killer waiting for a victim…
Don’t be too nice and get the law suit going for complete replacement of all gear - they are incredibly lenient on drunk drivers at the moment so get a good solicitor and sue her for damages not covered by insurance…sounds horrible I know but get in fast you wouldn’t believe some of the defences I’ve seen by drunk drivers and they get away with it…
e.g marriage split up - severe depression - confirmed by Doc - she gets away with £500 fine
Not condoning what she did by any means, notice a few comments about being drunk at that time of the morning.
I presume she was breathed at the scen eand found to be over the limit. In my opinion that is the time most people will be over the limit. How many of you have gone out, got bladdered and got up for work the next day? I know I have and am sure that if I may have been touch and go on the old breath test.
Get a lawyer on the case - a no win no fee could be used but in my experience a normal lawyer is more efficient.Do not reveal the extent of your injuries to HER insurance companyBe careful about telling YOUR insurance company too much about your injuries ( all insurance companies scratch their own backs here and it is not in THEIR interest to maximise your claim).Frighten her insurers because they do not know the extent of your injuries and will be afraid you will claim £millions.Ask for a settlement out of court and add in ALL expenses, time of work, pain, bike - the lot.Don’t let the insurers bully you into making a small claim - get the lawyer to ‘muscle’ them!Take her to the cleaners!!!We all think OUR insureres work in our best interests - THEY DONT. Even though we PAY them to insurance is a big club, Why should Norwich Union take an arm an a leg off Royal Sun Alliance when next week RSA will have a claim against Norwich Union?. They use tit for tat and make sure each other pays the minimum …Grrrr
