Ace Cafe Toy run 2008

There’s a little cafe on the corner, the Iceland side of Petts Wood, think they are open early. Can’t remember their name though.

sorry button and alta just found this…

yer I’m still well up for brekkie in petts wood and will defo have to follow someone as I don’t know my way either.

where we going to meet the high street? or round the back with the small parade of shops?

We could meet by Lloyds bank perhaps which is in the parade of shops where Iceland is. The other side of the railway line to the High Street.

Sounds good to me, Lloyds bank at 8am then?

Good stuff.

Let’s hope the weather is kind to us.

jolly good show…

with regards to the pressie(s) is there any specific age group or type of pressie we should bet getting?

Good stuff.

I’m in the dark about the pressies too.

Perhaps there is info on the Ace cafe website. I’m dashing off to a meeting now so can’t look for a while.

had a look all it says is…write boy/girl age group so guessing pretty much down to us really.

Sounds that way.

How many I wonder, several small ones might be best I suppose. Get enough in the rucksack then.

I think it owuld be better to get one or two larger presents than lots of smaller ones. They seemed to have a van load of stuff left at the end, which I assume gets donated to hospitals etc afterwards.

Ok, thanks G.

Are you going?

With regards to what prezzies, we have gone for in-bed activities (behave, you lot) like colouring & sticker books (obvioulsy, with pencils), simple puzzels and are sticking some choccy bars in with each prezzie too… couple of cuddly toys as well…

I am assisting the Unity Riders who will be supporting the police in marshalling the event.

Presents should be wrapped, and marked Boy/Girl and age range is good also.

this being my 1st ever xmas run, do you actually write anything on the pressie (other than boy/girl age range) like a little note or anything?

I was planning to put “Have a happy xmas from The London Bikers”

But open to suggestions?..

We decided not to put ‘Get Well Soon’… Just in case… You know…

Got my presents ready.

Strange really. I wouldn’t really have thought of doing something like this before LB/ biking.
Such a wicked idea!

Looking forward to it. And tea & cake at the Ace (not done that for ages).

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Feels good to be helping the children.

Gonna go pressie shopping tomorrow before work.

Hope to see you at the Ace folks… H
