Hello Bluestar…here we go again eh? for another funday…Well i didnt make it to the run up meet for this event, (couldnt make it) but as a Ford employee this flyer is doing the rounds here and i will be marshalling again…can i ask if there will be ANY of you nice LB peeps, fancy joining myself and some other regulars and be a marshal for the day? (you get a free brekkie !!) 
As the flyer says, its from Ford Dunton and this year is gonna be a BIGGIE !! Can you put names down, and we can arrange our meet (prob McD’s again on the A127) and then we ride in from there…
You dont have to ride on to Harwich, tho thats where all the fun will be…so if you just want to marshal for the EAA that is appreciated…

RobC, we all meet at mcd’s on A127 which is just up the road to where we want to be (Dunton)…then we ride into the plant…park up, go to reception, pick up hi-viz jkts and tickets for brekkie…have a chat about the day, and where they want us to marshal, make our way for brekkie…
Once in our “zones” we then wait the first bikers…who come streaming in for the first hour…we show them where we need them to park (Busa is VERY good at this bit and handy to have about when they try and park where they shouldnt !! :D) We stay there till the stunts riders etc finish and riders make their way bike to their bikes to depart…we keep them in order until time to release the barriers (one stage at a time) and the first lot of bikers take off for Harwich…
then we clear up the areas, put back the barriers etc…and if you are going on to Harwich too, then you take off and play catch up with all the others, OR you go your merry way back home…
Again this year they tell us will be bigger and better than others as its the 10th year…at Harwich is the fun part, music,food,LOADS of bikers and stalls and a stage with dj and flyby from the Air Ambulance to thank us…all on the local green and by the sea !
All the locals come out to play and open up the shops for us (which are usually closed sundays) and the Mayor/Mayoress turn out to greet us in too…crowds line the route all the way there taking pics and waving and loads are already at the town centre waiting for the bikes to turn up…
Many have the missus go in the car with the kiddies and they go on the bike…its a good family/bikers day out…and for a brilliant cause…
Think thats about it, cant think of anything else…! :hehe:
What time we meeting jules?
Can’t understand why so few from LB are going on this - had a look at the website and read some reoprts from previous years and it looks like a brilliant day out - and riding with 4000 other bikers sounds amazing…plus it’s for a great charity.
Anyway, have just pre-registered and will be doing the ride 
- but not the marshalling! :hehe:

I think you will find that quite a lot of LBers do support this event but as it is not an LB event it does not get posted on here much.The marshaling is not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy doing it:)

Just because peeps don’t post, doesn’t mean they are not going. I’m going myself but have already made arrangements 
I just find it very difficult to meet anyone from here at events TBH, unless you already know them.
Just run up to a marshal and ask if we are LB and you will find out !! ha ha…
seriously now peeps, i am REALLY going to need names to send out to dunton and so far its just me and Busa and Gill (his missus)…we had 8 of us last year so are you really that busy you cant come and help?
Well whatever you are doing ride safe…saw another accident involving a bike this weekend, was in car and on other side of motorway so dont know the ins and outs…but it was another biker…be safe!
So for now i can only let dunton know its me and busa and gill for marshalling…i will wait till weds before contacting the guys at ford and finding out times etc for u busa? and we will meet usual place…i dont know if i will be on bike cos been told i cant ride it as im waiting on honda to deliver a new generator/alternator for it…but i will be there regardless!

OK, i am glad that i will see some of u LBrs at Dunton and hope you all have a great day from start to finish…hope to be on my bike, still not sure if they have the part in for me but im living in hope.

Is that going to be all there is as im going to relay names to dunton tomorrow…then guys? i will let you know car park we have to park in, tho suspect it will be the same as other years…and time.
