I fancy having a bit more powerful bike, for experience, not that I need it really. Currently on CBR600F 2011, previously also CBR600F but 2000. I am debating between the two. I commute but it’s only 5 miles! Most I am on a bike is weekend blasts around Surrey/Kent. I go Moto-Gymkhana occasionally and 3-4 Trackdays a year. I enjoy occasional wheelie here and there and to mess around when I find an empty parking lot :D I like the bike to be functional as well, and I appreciate that from those two neither one really is… Debating getting second cheap tourer for those longer camping trips… But I guess Ventura rack could potentially go on each one of them!
I think you’ve picked two different-enough bikes to be choosing between that you’re not going to get much in the way of explanation of the differences and relative merits, just some people preferring one sort of bike and others the other.
I have an IL4 and a VTwin- they are both fine engine architectures but do different things.
The V Twin is more fun down low- has instant power but can be a bit snatchy. The IL4 has a bit of a delay and then WALLOP, all the power kicks in and you are hurtled off down the road. Triples are somewhere in between.
Personally, the SDR. Totally mental and huge run to ride. Took a ride on my friends 2012 Super Duke R and it was the dangly dogs bollocks. Blew me away with amazing handling and mental engine!

I will try to get a test ride, but with Dealerships they have nothing but new models (Duke 1290).
I always had Inline 4’s so quite keen on trying a V-Twin. But then again ZX0R looks like completely bonkers machine for the same price (120hp -> 170hp)
Got to sell my CBR600 (Anyone fancy?) and go shopping now! I guess I might take whatever’s better deal at the time :D
