BRING ON THE SNOW :w00t::w00t:
shhhhhh!!
BRING ON THE WALL!!!
they are so **** scared of what happened last week when they didnt forecast snow and we got loads !
best game show ever until they changed the presenter
BBC sucks in weather forecasting anyway…they never get it right!
Their weather forecasts have been provided by the Met office since the BBC started. They are thinking of sacking them and using someone cheaper:w00t::w00t:
Well no one seems to be getting it right. The forecasts for Watford ranged from heavy rain all day to heavy snow all day.
Had some rain in the morning, and again some in the early afternoon.
NO ONE GOT IT RIGHT!!!
no snow between heathrow and central london, just very wet rain…
Latest forecast is 2 Degrees and a layer of goose fat a foot thick.
So no probs for LBs best.
Army type friend tells me that most military met. officers get it about 99% right, 99% of the time even giving pretty exact times for rain to start/stop/etc.
Now these guys get their info from the Met. Office with just little extra feed ins from other Met. Officers, the RAF and so on.
So, if they can get it right, why do the TV channels, not just the BBC, make such a borrocks of it?
hadnt been on bike for around 2 weeks so very glad the beeb got it wrong! Man, all this uncertainty! I picked a right sh*t time of year to pass my test!
Metcheck yesterday for me was for hours of heavy snow, that became heavy rain.
In the end we got enough to wet everything.
We all died last week according to Metcheck. On Tuesday through Thursday they were predicting atmospheric pressure in London for Friday afternoon to be 2 millibars!
metcheck occasionally does some funny things like -100 deg Celcius !! :w00t:
I always felt the best bit of the weather forcast is when they spend ten minutes telling us that it’s raining/ sunny/ snowing now. We know it is! Just tell us what the percentage chances are of it carrying on for the rest of the day. I get the impression that if their information is that there is a 60% chance of it snowing they tell us it will. Just a percentage figure next to the cloud symbol would do.
