Yamaha servicing in London-who do you trust?

and they won’t be much help with an R6.

Bike needs valve clearances checking etc. My other option is Seton Tuning but it’ll cost a bit more and its in Colchester.

I’m in W12

I’ve read some people trust West London Yamaha ;):D:D:D:D:D

I recommend giving these a call:

Swallow Motor Co Ltd
314 Eastcote Lane
S Harrow
Middx
HA2 9AH

Tel: 07951 434848 - Andy

or

PDQ Motorcycle Developments
Marshgate Trading Estate

Phone: 01753 730043 or 01753 811060

I wont let anyone else touch my bikes, they may be pricey to some but it boils down to who you trust.

+1 can’t go wrong there.

dunno if i would trust honda chiswick!! heard a few stories about that place…

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Chiswick Honda/Motorcycle Action’s workshop has always been fantastic, even bending the ‘rules’ in my favour…

what were the stories Danno?

just called PDQ & Fulham Yamaha and they said don’t check the valves til at least 16000 miles! That’s a few years away!

Then take their word for it, they wont do something unless you know or they think there is a problem… Thank them they aren’t just saying yes to pull some dosh out of you.

Mine is currently in PDQ having a biggie service including valves as I specifically asked for them to be checked.

So, what’s up with WLY? I ask 'cos they’re my local dealer and where I got my bike from.

They did take it out for a test ride after servicing it and I was in the mechanics bay when it returned billowing clouds of smoke :w00t: “Don’t worry, just a bit of oil overspill” It fell to me to point out that they’d forgotten to put the oil filler cap back on and the engine and swingarm were covered in oil :w00t::w00t:

I think you just answered your own question there!!

You got lucky, that could have been disastrous.

I just can’t believe how some clearly retarded people are let loose to work on other peoples bikes. Reminds of the very bad and not so old Motorcycle City days. Enough to make you paranoid :o

I’ve used TruGrip for servicing recently - always been happy with the work and the bills are pretty reasonable.
They’re in one of the arches on the one-way bit round Vauxhall.

Yeah, I suppose I have :hehe:

Does anyone know if Blays in Twickenham are still going? Les the mechanic there was always helpful.

how olds the bike and why do you think they need adjusting
