I woke Sunday to find the Screw in my tyre !!..“Not Happy” but these things happen but get this…on my way in to work this Morning…
I come off the Westway heading down to Holland park rounabout and a fellow biker comes screaming up on the inside on the curve, hes foot slips off the pegs and hes booted in to my lower fairing and cracked it right through !! After stopping and having a right polite convo I set off again.
Up ahead is one of those Hopper Lorrys and as usual its filled so full, the craps visible 3 feet above the edge of the skip. The driver takes the next curve so f**king manically that hes then hit the anchors and a ton of this crap has been spread all over the road. I saw this from about 35yrds and was ready to slow down or at worst leave the seat for the Tarmac.
Cage drivers …nothing in the way of slowing or concern…hammer through it all chucking it up like f**king confetti…I get a lovely big chunk of stone smash the top/front of the Lid…cutting through the outer clear coating, through the paint and it looks like its cut deep in to the the shell cracking it !!!
I would say look on the bright side mate, but, you do seem to have had some bad luck recently. Lets hope all the nice new spangly stuff fairs for a longer time.
Yeah the Guy was as gutted as I was …must admit he was the real deal…Bikers Biker…it didnt get out of hand and he swapped details for a payment later tonight.
Ive been on the phone to BabyJ and hes sorting me out a New Lid as we speak
Finished work at 12 noon, major blast to BabyJ in Great Portland Street for the New Lid, on walking in he says,
Here it is, this is a Barro Helmet, one look at it and I had to have it.

Done Deal in all but ten minutes (Hes deadly).
Straight back and in to the Garage to raid the already well raided “Old R6” (2005), Swap Fairings and shes looking Brand New again apart from the dirt.
