My journo brother in Oz sent me over some pics from WSB in Philip Island today and a little blurb:
Sunday morning at the track, it was about 14 deg and RAINING!
Ben Spies was on pole for race one and ran off the track twice. The BMWs went well in their first race out, as did the new V4 Aprilia, but Haga & the Ducati won it.
Race two it was Spies & Haga, with Biaggi up near the front on his Aprilia. Coarser’s rear tyre was too hard and he was grandstanding for the crowd - and nearly went over the bars on the last lap, and lost two places. He’d have a bit of explaining to do, I expect.
