I’ve been hogging too much attention in my family at the moment. However that’s all changing tomorrow… my son who is 18 months old is going in to The Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea for open heart surgery on Monday. It’s due to a congenital heart condition he has, and which he has had surgery for on two previous occasions, but this time it’s the big fix, and hopefully he won’t need to trouble the surgeons again. He’s likely to be in there for 10-14 days, and in the meantime I’ll be at home with my 3 other kids and my sister in law who’s helping look after them as Wendy has to stay up in Hospital as well.
Could be a difficult couple of weeks, but hopefully it’ll be worth it!
Having worked in the cardiothoracic unit at Great Ormond Street I know how resilient these little guys are and how high the success rate is for this type of surgery - if it’s any consolation. Sending positive vibes your way, all will be fine. Hang in there J Qx
Hey all the best to you and you’re little man John, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that all goes to plan, it’s about time you had some positive stuff happening in your life!
