Especially considering their reputation for (un)reliability…

you can buy a house with that money as deposit
It would be a pretty **** house and it would mean your in debt for the next 20 years!!!
The new Duc’s have longer time between service intervals than any other bikes.
I would not pay that for a multistrada, but they are pretty good.
I didnt !
You could say the same about Ducati!
Only kidding
lol
because you’re buying into a brand more than anything else. Like it or not the Ducati brand has been linked to passion and all the other cliche words for italian vehicles…
and everytime I chat with someone at work about bikes, they all say the same thing: “I don’t know much about bikes but if I ever had one, it’d be a Ducati”
I think it’s because of the perceived value the brand adds. If you appreciate that value then spend your money. In terms of performance there is better value out there.
TO be honest, i now own one, the the Blade is a better all round bike, BUT there is something special about the Duc, they way it looks the way it sounds they way it rides all fucking epic… I love being on it.
Im not a huge fan of a panigale, although i do like the Tricolour, you cannot say a fireblade, GSXR or R1 looks anything even as close to as beautiful.
nope I agree, they have got the styling spot on… always have. They produce gorgeous bikes that manage to connect with their owners…
Same with KTMs as far as I’m concerned - though they don’t get the styling looking that amazing
2 years on a Ducati and so far I never had any problem. So did friends that own one.
For my experience, the un-reliability thing is an old story that who doesn’t own a Ducati looooves to tell and carry over!
Perhaps a bit of envy? :Whistling:
The Panigale is sooo pretty, but I would never buy one as it was the most uncomfortable bike I have ever sat on.
The S1K is not the best looking bike, but is the best bike I have ever ridden…go figure. :hehe:
I just paid £15.5k for a 2013 Multistrada…
I do like the idea of owning a Ducati - but for that money you could buy 2 dogs bollocks bikes. Maybe even 3 tbh.
I wouldn’t have a multistrada as it is a bit like buying a diseasel porsche . But I do like my euro bikes ever since the blade 929 finally killed any interest I had in jap sport bikes and made me buy an aprillia .
I read a book about 15 years ago called Generation X about the dot com culture in Cali/Silicon Valley… the phrase that always stuck in my head was… “he’s just got rich, he’s in his Ferrari phase”
the parallel is there… too much bl–dy surplus money for a whatever reason, Ducati’s have their appeal… if you have any sense or normal life experience IE Billions aren’t your NORMAL pay cheque, stupid Italian wanky engineering loses its appeal fast… if however you are an idiot fashionista or always have lots of money, then love your Ducati
Sadly, Ducati (or more precisely Ducato) MEANS money in Italian… pathetic aren’t we…I’m guessing Ferrari means NOB but that is only a guess

You lot have to experience a Triumph Daytona 955i on full song before you waste yer money.:pinch:
