This has happened to me a few times now. When I quote-reply, System deletes the quote part of my post.
It doesn’t happen always.
Is there a protocol we should be following?
Yes! The forums software will remove the quote if you quote a whole post. This is to reduce duplication of content and keep the threads succinct.
I believe partial quotes should be fine.
