My mate Riz recommended it to me, way better than msn, clear conversations, video and sounds, you can also have group video converstations! Its free and way better then BT with video conferencing calls!!!

use it now and again as its a reat way to chat to my family abroad 
I use it everyday for business with Asia. Saves me a packet and normally its good quality. Saves me a packet in phone bills. However sometimes it does funky stuff, so I just revert to a landline when necessary. It can also depend where you call. I find Hong Kong can be a bit dodge, but Singapore is great sound quality.
I have Skype and call my sister in Spain with it.

We got a skype phone. Its connected to our router and to our land line, so now both home phone and skype phone ring when someone calls the landline and then, if its a phone call through skype, just the skype phone rings… cheap as chips too and best bit is you can stick in on speaker phone and have a whole room of people having a chat 
I’m using Skype a lot as I’m from Denmark and call all my friends and relatives with it. I can call land lines in Denmark at £0.016 a minute and send text’s at £0.026 (they will look like they’re originating from my UK mobile phone), and of course if the person in the other end has a computer and Skype installed I can call them for free.
I used to have a Danish Skype-In number which meant that my friends and family in Denmark could call me using their normal land line at local rates. I think the Skype-In number was something like £50 a year.
Had a two hour phone call yesterday with my sister which ended up costing me about £2
Il Bandito has Skype to phone friends in Canada and elsewhere.
But then the boy is very illogical so it may be all puff, but at least it don’t go through my land line anymore.
As the bill payer, I thoroughly endorse Skype.
More seriously, why not? It seems to save most people who phone a lot or long distance a small fortune.
I have tried it a few times…dropped calls - other party can’t hear etc etc …Hopeless… I never use it now. Yes , it’s cheap/free and so it should be.
Have it on all day at work and when I am online at home. Firm has quite a few remote workers so makes staying in contact really easy. Also a great way to stay in contact with friends all over the place.
Quite often make/receive calls to a place about 1/4 of a mile away who only use skype. The quality is so poor - they sound as if they are on Mars
I have been using it to call mates in Canada for the past year or so, it has improved recently with the upgrade.
Before then, I did have some sound issues!
It has save me a fortune! I also use it to stay in touch with the UK when I’m overseas.
use it a lot, but if someone can tell me how to make video call for more than two participants, that would be brilliant, haven’t managed that yet
My mate in Athens suggested i get this the other day.
My friend has it on his mobile to talk to the family in Jamaica for free. I used to have yahoo messenger thingy set up in my studio and have clear confrence calls with people in the Carribean and States on a regs, it was excellent, free and great quality coming through my mixing desk and monitors.
have it, use it for work mainly.

been using it for years, since there was regularly less than 50,000 people on line with it.in all the hours(read days! gaming can eat up your time! ) I can’t remember any dropped calls except when my cousin in aussie was on dial-up, I’ve had full house (5) conversations that went on with no problems, and the international phones calls have saved me a mint.As to the person who said someone tried to hack him through it … I think you may find the dreaded limewire is more likely to have been the culprit. for a free program I think it is fantastic, and even though there may be competition out there its only because skype paved the way, I can remember what msn voip was like before skype brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
