Who goes down the A1 every morning from Sterling to Apex

I see loads of bikes, sometimes the same ones, every morning on the A1 between Stirling corner and Apex corner (and sometimes a bit further north). Thought some of them may be on here??

I often see a chap on a blue Suzuki bandit who has a blue helmet. I see him nearly every day.

Also a guy on a CBR600 who often has a pillion, and goes *really * fast.
Someone on a trailie bike (smallish cc)
A guy on a Yamaha Xmax 250 scooter.
A chap on a black Streetfighter style bike.

Those are just a few that I can think of at the moment.

used to - now use Mark’s 650.

I see loads of SV650’s on the A1 but I’ll keep my eye out for the chequered helmet.

If I had a modern bike the SV650 would the bike I’d have, but I’m afraid I’d miss the practicality of the scoot for commuting :blush:

BTW I ride a blue Aprilia Leonardo 250 and wear a silver Caberg trip helmet and a Urban glow hi vis vest.

Oh and an ace cafe sticker on my topbox.

I’ve changed my scooter now. I’ve got a Smoke Grey X8 as in my siggie!

The commute on the A1 is easier than I expected despite the scooter being bigger than my last it’s very stable and easy to ride slow.

This morning some tosser in a car in the left lane on the Sterling roundabout nearly knocked me off twice by encroaching into my lane, both on the roundabout an then later on the A1. I gave him a blast of the pathetic horn on the roundabout and a dirty look. I soon left him in my wake though :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a biker behind me going down the A1 but he didn’t pass me so I didn’t get a good look at him/her, don’t know if it was anyone here.
