Which Tyres for a CBR600RR

I’m looking for a new set. I’ve been running Pilot Power 3 for 3 years, Bridgestone before that. Got on well with both.

Longevity and price are not considerations. I’m just looking for performance.

Bridgestone S20 EVO gets my vote. Excellent wet and dry, Good when damp and greasy. Don’t expect more than 4k but you’ll enjoy them.

Trackday performance or just hard street riding?  I’ve got PR4s on mine and they feel fantastic.

PR4’s all day long.

Found them great in the dry (in fact one of the best tyres I have ever used), but the damp/wet performance was terrible.

I was very impressed with the Bridgestone S20 Evo. It’s a great Supersport tyre. Lots of grip and feel on the road and track.

I’ve got s20. Evo? Not sure. Great dry and wet, but then I’m sensible on the road…

More training or a faster bike !

supercorsas.

Be careful with the track compound Supercorsas, they’ll take a while to get up to a half decent operating temperature even on a warm day.
Didn’t find the road compound Supercorsas a match for the Evo’s

And Rusty, you should know a ‘faster’ bike doesn’t always make you err faster😄

One day I’m going to take up the challenge B. But if I don’t like them, you owe me a set of tyres

depends if you ride in the rain ,for dry roads struggle to beat the supercorsas

To be fair we’re spoilt for choice really. Tyre technology has advanced so much since 1912 when I first started on two wheels.
You youngsters don’t know how lucky you are😄

I know but it 'helps' some !

I’m amazed at anyone who can run race compound supercorsas on the road (given the variable weather and constantly stopping)!

I’m thinking  Bridgestone S20 Evo. Bridgestone felt great at Ron Haslam Race School but that was on track which is obviously different to the road. Good to hear people have positive experiences on the road too.

I’ve got Bridgestone T30 evos fitted to my Speed Triple.
Impressed with them in all weathers. They are due to be changed, approx 5000 miles.

Ron’s bikes use T30 which replaces the BT023. I’m certain you’ll like the S20’s on your bike but commuting will ruin them quickly.

Only in the dry.  PR4 are far superior in damp/wet conditions.
