Which should I get: '05 or '06 R1?

I have seen low mile versions of the '05 (lava read) for around £5,500 and '06 (black) for £6,400. Is this a fair price for them?

Should I save the money and go with the '05, or splash out and enjoy the black beauty?

Any ‘Sensible’ advise welcome

I’d save the cash on an 05 and used the spare cash on a few choice mods.

Minimal changes on the 06 bike. Minor engine internals added another 3 BHP of power and Yamaha adjusted the swing arm pivot point (raised it by a few mm I believe) to improve steering.
